    Abstract: A novel process for curing whole hams and improved boneless hams comprising the steps of mixing the ham or ham portions with a cure mix; storing the hams for a period of days; smoking the hams; subjecting the hams to ultraviolet light for a period of days; aging the hams under ultraviolet light for a period of days; forming the hams or ham portions after excess fat removal and trimming to a desired form or shape; cooking the hams for a period of hours at reduced humidity to facilitate trichina destruction, binding and moisture removal from said hams; chilling the hams to a reduced temperature; and packaging the resulting ham product; wherein each stage is conducted under particular parameters of time, temperature and humidity.

    Abstract: Described herein is a method, and its associated article, for forming a neck for a stringed musical instrument having a hollow, slotted torsion rod disposed therein to function as a straightening force or to counteract the tension and bowing or warping effect of the instrument strings. The method comprises providing a longitudinally extending opening along the length of the neck of the instrument complimentarily formed to receive a slotted torsion rod, the slots being disposed to the bottom or back of the instrument neck. An end of the rod, preferably the end not connected to the instrument body, is provided with a tightening means for the rod to counter the warping or bowing forces on the instrument neck by the tightening of the strings.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an infant seat that is particularly adapted to be used for infants with the condition known as spina bifida (open spine), with attention to the related meningocele or meningomyelocele. The infant seat is comprised of a device molded to allow the infant to be maintained in a sitting or supine position without pressure to the above mentioned defect. The lower porton of the device is composed of an open area generally in the shape of a square, across which a detachable mesh insert can be stretched and secured to snaps. Safety straps for securing the infant in the seat are utilized. An adjustable bracing device is attached to the back of the seat for the purpose of adjusting to and maintaining various positions.
