Abstract: A method for improving the processability of foam premixes containing HFC and/or pentane-based blowing agents in polyols is provided, which method comprises adding trans-1,2-dichloroethylene to said premix in an amount effective to enhance said processability.
Abstract: Safety stabilized solid, free-flowing compositions based on t-butyl peroxy maleic acid as well as processes for their preparation and use are disclosed.
Abstract: A crosslinkable composition of a polymeric thermoplastic and/or elastomeric material which is susceptible to scorching when processed at elevated temperatures, prior to crosslinking, in the presence of a free radical initiator, is protected against such scorching by the incorporation therein of a mixture of at least one hydroquinone compound and a sulfur accelerator. This mixture may also contain at least one monomeric allylic, methacrylic, acrylic or diene type coagent. The mixture exhibits a synergistic effect resulting in improved scorch protection for peroxide cured systems when compared with the protection afforded by the components singly.

Abstract: An improved process for priming a metal surface to improve the adhesion to the surface of a resin coating possessing functional groups that react with epoxide groups, such as amide functionality containing polyamide resins.
Abstract: Compositions are disclosed which comprise mixtures of at least one compound selected from silicone elastomers, bis-, tri- or higher polymaleimides and/or bis-, tri- or higher polycitraconimides, and at least one compound selected from p-phenylene-diamine based antiozonants, sulfur compounds capable of accelerating sulfur vulcanization of polymers capable of being crosslinked by sulfur and polysulfide polymers which when compounded into polymers curable by free radical initiators in the presence of free radical initiators permit substantially tack free surface cure of the polymers by decomposition of the free radical initiator in the presence of molecular oxygen. Compositions containing the above ingredients and at least one free radical initiator, curable compositions containing the combination and processes for making and using the compositions are also disclosed.

Abstract: Multi-phase blends of VDF-based polymers are provided which are useful in a variety of applications such as wire and cable, pipe and liner applications, and rotational molding.
Abstract: Acrylic Modified Fluoropolymers based on vinylidene fluoride polymers are disclosed wherein the acrylic phase is capable of entering into crosslinking reactions. The final cured products provide superior solvent extractability resistance to the fluoropolymer phase.
Abstract: Vinylidene fluoride polymers are produced by using ethane as a chain transfer agent in the emulsion polymerization process. Vinylidene fluoride homopolymers made by the process have a significantly reduced tendency to generate cavities at high temperatures and a greater resistance to discoloration at high temperatures.
