Abstract: A dehumidifier unit for pre-conditioning air delivered to a multiplicity of separate refrigeration air conditioner units and especially ductless systems where the compressor-condenser unit is separate from the fan-coil unit, and assisted by heat pipe transfer of heat from air dehumidified through a desiccant wheel and by heat of compression from the condenser of one compressor-condenser unit, and with a heater to maintain the temperature of regeneration air through the wheel, one dehumidifier unit pre-conditioning air for a multiplicity of refrigeration air conditioners or fan-coil units.
Abstract: In a flexible bellows used to implement some change of volume, material is added inside of the convolution walls to reduce the clearance volume associated with the fully compressed mode. For gas compression applications, this combination of bellows walls and independently-added filling material not only improves the volume and compression ratios available but also provides an opportunity to design for lower stress and longer life.
Abstract: A portable coupon organizer for organizing and transporting coupons to the supermarket, having a plurality of double-sided, viewable and sealable coupon pockets, which can be attached to the handle of a shopping cart. The coupon organizer once attached to the shopping cart, is capable of rotating on the handle. The organizer enables a shopping list or store map to be stored. Each pocket can be labeled to a shopper's desire for easy organization of coupons. The organizer can be used either partially or in its entirety. Portions of the organizer can be replaced when needed, obviating the need to replace the entire organizer.
Abstract: A toilet flushing apparatus characterized by an inherently leakproof syphon having a bridge substantially spaced above a supply tank water level, a manually discharged primer tank that floods a suction leg of the syphon to initiate flow over the bridge and through a discharge leg, and a floating flush valve and control for discharge of primer tank water to fill the suction leg closed by an inlet check valve at the foot of the suction leg, followed by continued syphoning, the primer and supply tank being automatically refilled by a float control.
Abstract: A liquid polymer-salt solution as a desiccant in an air conditioning system comprised of a heat-pipe having its heat absorber section in an outside air inlet duct following water vapor adsorption into the desiccant by a contacter section of a dehumidifier, and the heat-pipe having its heat rejecter section in an exhaust air duct and preferably preceeding water vapor discharge from the desiccant by a regenerater section of the dehumidifier.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for compression timed ignition in internal combustion engines, the varying mass of the fuel-air mixture having controlling effect to retard timing by cooling a heater element to vary the current therethrough, and characterized by an igniter with a pre-chamber in communication with the engine combustion chamber via at least one and preferably a multiplicity of radiating ports for projecting burning plasma into the engine combustion chamber.
Abstract: An article of flat pattern form providing a loop disengageably attached to a margin of flexible sheet material by manipulating a male member at one end of a strap and through a smaller opening of a female member at the other end of the strap, with a section of the flexible sheet material over the male member, by bending and twisting for passage of the male member through the female member, enabled by an adjoining access opening, followed by untwisting and with the male member overlying a peripheral portion of the female member and the flexible sheet material secured by bites over the inner edge of the female opening and over the periphery of the male member.
