  • Patent number: 4869508
Abstract: An improved golf club head for use in sand and water hazards present on golf courses. The club head contains an array of apertures disposed in vertical spaced relationship. The apertures provide ample opening through the head for passage of sand to materially reduce the resistance of sand or water thereon when striking a golf ball. The bottom of the club head includes a broad mass of material that has a slightly curved lower surface which extends laterally from a curved front edge to a curved rear edge that is wider and thicker than the top. The rear edge curve continues on upward and foreward whereby it merges into the rear face along a longitudinal line approximately 1/3 of the distance to the top surface. The upper surface of the mass slopes upward in a concave curve at a connection with the front face adjacent to the front edge to the rear face adjacent to the longitudinal line.

  • Patent number: 4747372
Abstract: The animal tether comprises an upright tube connected at an upper end to the end of a lateral tube. The apparatus is rotatably mounted on a base member upstanding shaft. Extending outwardly of the tubes a tether line together with a leash line is attached to an animal. The tether line is further engaged in reciprocal turns of line with a pair of pulley blocks which in response to, and animal movement shortens the distance between blocks. This in turn lifts a weighted body slidably disposed within the tube thereby applying tension on the animal leash line to prevent the leash line from entanglement.

  • Patent number: 4736801
Abstract: A fire extinguisher has an elongated manifold for discharging water on a chimney fire and is protectively secured within an opened face cage. The top has a threaded opening for a connection to a water hose and pointed bottom end for a ram head. An elongated bore extending from the hose connection feeds water to a plurality of lateral channels with openings on the outside of the manifold. A plurality of spray nozzles mounted in the openings are arranged to discharge a spray mist from the nozzles peripherally about the chimney wall. When lowered or dropped within a chimney the manifold pointed end penetrates the ignited mass of creosote while spraying a water mist to quench the fire.

  • Patent number: 4128962
Abstract: A device for discharging a group of bubbles stuck together is adapted to be operated when held in hand and when mounted on a vehicle such as a bicycle. The device includes a multiple ring structure mounted in the bore of a tube having an air receiving entrance and an exit end. A reservoir which has multiple orifices in its bottom wall is also mounted in the upper wall of the tube. Bubble forming fluid stored in the reservoir is metered through the orifices and directed downwardly to form a film across the openings in the ring structure. In response to movement of air through the tube an expanding curtain of film is formed and released from the ring structure openings and discharged out of the exit end of the tube in an assortment of bubbles. A sump is demountably secured to the bottom wall of the tube for collecting drops of fluid not consumed in forming bubbles.
