Abstract: A notice assembly comprising a support portion including a base part adapted to be supported on a horizontal surface, a vertical wall part having a lower edge attached to the base part and a hollow tubular part fixed along an upper edge of the wall part with an axially extending through opening in the tubular part facing the same direction as the front surface of the wall part. A display member has a portion rotatably mounted in the tubular part. That portion of the display member has a peripheral surface bearing a plurality of set of graphic symbols providing information about the location of the person (e.g., AT LUNCH, OUT OF OFFICE, RETURN SOON, IN MEETING). By manual rotation of the display member, any of the sets of graphic symbols can be positioned in the opening of the tubular part where they will be observed by a person looking at the notice assembly.

Abstract: A pneumatic applicator for shear thinning viscous coating materials that includes a nozzle, an air operated system for dispensing viscous material at a steady rate through the nozzle, and an air directing housing defining an air chamber around the nozzle. The air directing housing defines an air outlet opening for the air chamber around the nozzle. Distal surfaces of the housing and nozzle are close to co-planar and the air outlet opening has an area in the range of about 5 to 15 square millimeters. An adjustable system directs air under pressure into the air chamber so that when the viscous material is dispensed through the nozzle at a generally uniform rate, air can be directed into the chamber and out through the air outlet opening around the nozzle and only the amount of air being directed into the chamber need be adjusted to cause viscous material being dispensed from the nozzle to be applied to a surface adjacent the nozzle in coatings of various widths and thicknesses.

Abstract: A spray shield assembly adapted to be moved over row crops to temporarily enclose the crops when liquids are sprayed onto them or the ground around them, which assembly includes a liquid distribution system for distributing liquid to outlet nozzles, and a polymeric shield defining a channel opening through one side and front and rear ends of the shield for receiving the crops. The shield has a converging leading portion for directing portions of plants into the channel, and a semi cylindrical portion in which the nozzles are mounted, with two of the nozzles in one of an array of openings in opposite sides of the shield, which arrays of openings allow adjusting the location of the nozzles to accommodate the portion of the plants desired to be sprayed.

Abstract: A dispensing device comprises a metering assembly adapted to be coupled to a conventional syringe, which metering assembly includes a long length of capillary tubing through which the fluid must pass into a flexible hose which delivers the fluid and means for applying a uniform force to the plunger to provide fluid flow through the capillary tube at a slow, steady rate over a long period of time. The metering assembly includes parts moveable between a metering position at which fluid flowing through the metering assembly must pass through the capillary tubing, and a purging position at which fluid propelled by manual operation of the syringe can bypass the capillary tube and flow rapidly through the metering assembly to purge the hose.
