Patent number: 4027481Abstract: A fluid pressure transducer device including first fluid pressure responsive means and second fluid pressure responsive means which together define a sealed volume of fluid. The first fluid pressure responsive means is exposed to first and second input fluid pressures and responsive to variations in one or both thereof to vary the volume of the sealed volume as a function of the first input fluid pressure modified by the pressure ratio of the second input fluid pressure to the first input fluid pressure. The second fluid pressure responsive means is responsive to the changes in the sealed volume of fluid and produces an output force signal in response thereto. There may be provided a variable volume chamber containing a temperature responsive element vented to the sealed volume of fluid to cause an increase or decrease in the sealed volume to compensate for temperature variations of the sealed volume of fluid.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 1975Date of Patent: June 7, 1977Assignee: The Bendix CorporationInventor: Paulmer D. Patent number: 4027482Abstract: The invention relates to a master-cylinder having a two-part cylinder, one part being of narrower diameter than the other, and a two-part piston slidable in the cylinder. Two pressure chambers are defined by the cylinder and the piston. Advance of the piston reduces the volume of both. One, the high pressure chamber feeds an external pressure system, and is itself fed by the other chamber through a valve system during an initial phase of the piston stroke. In a later phase the feed from the second in the first chamber ceases and instead the second chamber feeds the fluid reservoir through a control valve. Pressure-transmitting means such as a rod is arranged between the high pressure chamber and the control valve to open the control valve when the pressure in the high pressure chamber exceeds a predetermined value.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 1975Date of Patent: June 7, 1977Assignee: Abred EstablishmentInventor: Ferruccio Manzini

Patent number: 4018419Abstract: A solenoid valve is provided for controlling fluid communication in a passage defined between a first and a second orifices. A valve seat is defined in the passage and a valve member is adapted to be urged into contact with the valve seat to interrupt fluid communication between the first and second orifices. A coil and a fixed core control movement of the valve member in response to energization of the coil. The valve member is attached to a magnetized rod which is coaxial with the core. When the coil is not energized, the magnetized rod is normally attracted toward the fixed core in response to induced magnetization of the latter, to keep the valve member away from the valve seat. In response to energization of the coil, magnetization of the core is reversed and the rod 28 is repelled so that the attached valve member is urged into contact with the valve seat.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 1976Date of Patent: April 19, 1977Assignee: Societe Anonyme D.B.A.Inventor: Louis Monpetit

Patent number: 4006669Abstract: A fluid pressure actuated piston is slidably carried in a fluid pressure actuated cylinder which, in turn, is slidably carried in a fixed carrier. Movement of the cylinder is resisted by a deformable tube frictionally engaged with a fixed circular member. A predetermined fluid pressure acting across a differential area wall portion of the cylinder generates a force overcoming the frictional resistance of the deformable tube engaged with the fixed circular member thereby advancing the cylinder in the direction of movement of the pressurized piston. The output force of the piston is substantially unaffected by the force imposed on the cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1975Date of Patent: February 8, 1977Assignee: The Bendix CorporationInventor: William G.
