Abstract: An electrical busway housing system mechanically connected at the joints of adjoining housing sections by utilization of a coupling system having a top plate and a bottom plate, at least one of which has a roughened surface that provides superior gripping strength when the adjoining sections of busbar housing are clamped between them. Frictional clamping force is provided by a means of drawing the top plate and the bottom plate together and securing between them flanges or similar structural features of the busbar housing.

Abstract: A computer program product for speed limit enforcement is executable on a portable computer to measure the elapsed time it takes a motor vehicle to traverse a premeasured course along a roadway. The start and stop signals are manually input by a traffic officer via assigned keys on a keyboard, to capture the time interval between the last start signal and the stop signal. A start signal is entered upon a vehicle crossing a first measurement line, and a stop signal is entered upon the vehicle's crossing a second measurement line, the distance between the lines having been preselected from a set of geographic location data. The program converts the time measurement to the relevant units, typically miles per hour, for comparison to a threshold limit stored in a buffer. The time trial is displayed on the computer screen and each record is stored in a cumulative relational database for upload to a back office system for generating historical and statistical reports.

Abstract: A pool cover support frame has a central vertical support member with a plurality of radially projecting spokes extending from a hub mounted atop the central vertical support member. The spokes attach to the edge of the pool walls via clamps, and are spaced evenly about the perimeter. Spokes are inserted under compressive force into the hub, causing them to bow outwardly in an arc, creating an arched dome over which to arrange a pool cover.

Abstract: A hinge pin removal and starter device is disclosed, comprising a bar portion having a first and second end portion. The first end portion of said bar tapers to a flattened tip having a concave edge. A cylindrical projection adjacent the opposite butt end protrudes from said second end portion a generally perpendicular direction thereto. The tip of said first end portion is adapted for forcible insertion between the head of a hinge pin and a hinge, to wedge the hinge pin and hinge apart and detach said pin from said hinge plate. The cylindrical projection adjacent said second end portion is adapted to be placed in abutting relation to said pin opposite the head of said pin and a force applied against the pin through the cylindrical projection, to at least partially displace said pin from the hinge plate into which the pin is inserted.
Abstract: An adjustable holder is disclosed for holding a marking material, such as a crayon, comprising an elongated housing with first and second end portions, a hollow cylindrical cavity for housing marking material and a centerline therethrough. A tubular interior portion having a threaded inner bore and an outer wall is coaxially positioned within the housing cavity. A collar adjacent to the first end portion is attached to the housing, rotatable about the centerline. The collar has a hole for insertion of the crayon therethrough. There is provided a device for advancing the tip of the crayon along the longitudinal centerline within the housing. A receptacle portion is coaxially positioned within the tubular interior portion for retentively receiving one end of the crayon. The crayon is rotated by rotation of the collar, which cooperate to linearly traverse the receptacle portion within the tube threaded bore along the centerline.
Abstract: An all purpose household cleansing solution is disclosed. An aqueous solution comprising 6 parts of water to 1 part each of liquid rubbing alcohol and liquid ammonia is combined with two tablespoons of lemon scented liquid dish detergent to form an improved, safe all-purpose cleanser which replaces numerous other household cleansers. The all purpose household cleansing solution is adaptable for application from a spray bottle or may be diluted in a gallon of water depending on the strength required of the cleaning job.
