Abstract: In a drum beating assembly, the combination comprising a frame, including at least one pedestal, an axle carried by the pedestal to rotate relative thereto, the axle having an axis of rotation, a drum beater carried by the axle, a pedal operatively connected to the axle to rotate the axle and beater in response to pedal movement, the frame including a base plate, there being a clamp arm and means supporting the arm on the plate to pivot relative thereto, and multiple drum rim support elements carried to engage the drum rim at multiple locations to support the drum rim relative to the base plate. The support elements are typically pivotable to self-adjust during clamp up.
Abstract: On an aircraft designed for maximum efficient cruise speed in the range from about Mach 0.8 to about Mach 1.2, and having fuselage and wings with: (a) less than about 25 degrees of leading edge sweep, in combination with airfoil thickness to chord ratios between about 3% and about 8%, as an average along the wing semi-span outboard from the zone of substantial fuselage influence, and (b) wing leading edge sweep between about 20 degrees and about 35 degrees, in combination with airfoil thickness to chord ratios equal to or below about 3% as an average along the semi-span outboard from the zone of substantial fuselage influence to the wing tip.
Abstract: A modified purifier process, includes supplying a first stream of a feed gas containing hydrogen and nitrogen in a mol ratio of about 2:1, and also containing methane and argon, then cryogenically separating the feed gas into the following: f) a second stream of synthesis gas containing hydrogen and nitrogen in a mol ratio of about 3:1, g) waste gas containing principally nitrogen, and also containing some hydrogen and all of the methane supplied in the first stream, and splitting the waste gas into: h) a third stream of hydrogen/nitrogen gas i) a fourth stream of high concentrated nitrogen j) a fifth stream of methane rich gas, to be used as fuel. The combined second and third streams typically are passed to an ammonia synthesis process.
Abstract: A pool or spa cover adapted for use with a waterfall chute projecting from the top edge of a pool or spa water receptacle, comprising in combination, the cover having sections hinge connected to allow one section to pivot downwardly toward the waterfall chute while the other section remains peripherally seated on the receptacle, the one section having edge portions adapted to seat on receptacle edge portions at opposite sides of the chute, the one section locally configured to accommodate the cover to the chute as the cover pivots downwardly to seat on the pool or spa receptacle top edge.
Abstract: A method of providing an aircraft having a fuselage and a wing configured for extensive laminar flow at design cruise conditions, the method characterized by a) providing wing biconvex-type airfoils having values of thickness, chord and shape along the wing span which provide substantially optimal aircraft range at design cruise conditions, considering the influences of wing drag and wing weight; b) providing wing leading edges, which are configured to effect laminar flow; c) providing fuselage and wing contours which, in combination, produce reduced total wave drag and produce extensive areas of laminar boundary layer flow on the wing; and d) providing wing sweep angularity that facilitates provision of a), b) and c).

Abstract: The invention concerns a combination control for use in nasal cannula therapy, and includes a high flow, nasal cannula respiratory assistance ducted system, and a pressure relief valve having indicator structure, which typically includes a tubular body, a carrier slidable in the body, a plunger-indicator carried by the carrier, and a spring resisting carrier movement toward a cap on the body that defines an indicator window.
Abstract: A cosmetic powder dispenser, comprising a housing structure forming upper, intermediate and lower compartments, the structure forming through openings in registering walls associated with the compartments, the housing structure including upper and intermediate rotors whereby rotation of the upper rotor enables a metered quantity of powder to gravitate through a first of the openings from the upper to the intermediate compartment, and whereby rotation of the intermediate rotor enables metered quantity of powder to gravitate through an additional opening from the intermediate compartment to the lower compartment, for use.
