Abstract: In a surgical staple remover, the combination comprises multiple parts having operative interconnection, and relatively movable to retract a removed staple from a tissue zone; and a storage zone toward which removed staples are retracted for storage in response to relative movement of parts, a storage zone carried by at least one of the parts.

Abstract: A helmet has an outer shell with a front viewing opening, and a visor swingable between up and down positions. The helmet also includes structure mounting the visor to swing between such positions, and detent structure on one arm portion of a ratchet plate to retain the visor in such positions. The detent structure includes shoulders to lock the visor in at least one of such positions, and to allow easy unlocking by manual deflection of a portion of the visor, away from the shell. The ratchet plate also has a second arm portion attached to an inwardly recessed section of the shell, so that the visor is swingable in closely spaced relation to the shell outer front surface.

Abstract: A machine for cutting animal tissue into pieces, comprises(a) a frame,(b) slicer means including slicers carried by the frame to rotate for slicing the tissue into elongated strands fed along parallel paths of widths determined by spacing of the slicers,(c) rotary cutter means including cutters carried by the frame to rotate and intercept the strands fed along said paths, and for cutting the strands crosswise thereof and at intervals predetermined by rotary spacing of said cutters, thereby to form said pieces having predetermined sizes.

Abstract: Rotors are located to engage opposite sides of a brake disc. One or both rotors is a grinding rotor and rotation of same accomplishes rapid finish treating of the disc. The rotors and a drive plus an actuator are supported by a hand held frame. An actuator effects relative movement of the rotors toward and away from one another.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine cooling system is flushed by:(a) providing a controlled pressurized flow of flushing liquid and entrained gas bubbles,(b) and passing said flow alternately through(i) the radiator in a reverse direction,(ii) the engine coolant passages in a reverse direction,(iii) the radiator in a forward direction,(iv) the engine coolant passages in a forward direction.
