  • Patent number: 5525023
Abstract: A chip component supply apparatus of the invention includes a container box for storing chip components in pieces, a means for conveying chip components from the container box onto a conveyor belt, which moves intermittently and conveys the transferred chip components toward a take-out port area where a vacuum suction nozzle of an electronic component placement machine takes out the chip components. A stopper is positioned in the vicinity of the take-out port area for stopping the chip components conveyed by the conveyor belt at the take-out port area. The stopper moves and departs from the vicinity of the take-out port area when the conveyor belt finishes intermittent motion and stops, and returns and is positioned at the take-out port area before the next chip component conveyed by next intermittent motion of the conveyor belt reaches the take-out port area.

  • Patent number: 5524381
Abstract: A building including high efficiency transparent insulation and optical shutter solar collector (HETIOSSC) to effectively control heat loss and gain in a passively-solar climate control system. HETIOSSC includes a layer of protective glazing, a transparent insulation, an optical shutter, an optional solar radiation absorbing material and optional heat storage elements. When the building and its heat storage are too warm, the optical shutter layer becomes opaque to prevent overheating. During cloudy and cold winter days, HETIOSSC still has a solar transmission and insulation efficiency great enough to collect sufficient sunlight for heating. Location of HETIOSSC on the roof, rather than the walls, does not alter shape and orientation of a building.

  • Patent number: 5525430
Abstract: An optical shutter which responds to temperature may be caused to respond to an electrical current by placing a transparent conductor of electricity parallel to and in thermal contact with it, and by running an electrical current through the transparent conductor, such that the transparent conductor is resistively heated, and thereby heats the optical shutter. The above transparent conductor may be used simultaneously as a component of a transparent insulation. The electrical current may be controlled by a photosensor, a temperature sensor, a thermostat, and/or a manual switch.

  • Patent number: 5526490
Abstract: A processor element is provided with a data transfer control circuit that sends out an address count pulse (ACNT) onto a control bus. N data transfer channels each contain a data transfer buffer and a buffer control circuit. The buffer control circuit comprises an identification number register, an input/output control circuit, an address counter, and a comparison circuit. The address counter holds a channel address that is preset in such a way as to allow each channel to take the same channel address number, and increments such a channel address each time it receives the ACNT. If the identification number and the channel address coincide, the data transfer buffer in the same channel is selected. The number of interconnecting wires can be reduced and the transfer of data can be carried out at a high transfer rate, in a multiprocessor system whose linking network between each processor is formed by a series of data transfer channels.

  • Patent number: 5523710
Abstract: A voltage level of an output node is reversed by an inverter. An output of the inverter is used as an initial setting signal. A feedback switching transistor is also provided in an initial value setting circuit. Furthermore, there is provided a limiting device for eliminating an abnormal operation of the feedback switching transistor until the inverter starts a normal operation, in the event of momentary power failure or when the electric power source is quickly turned on after a very short break. Accordingly, normal operation of the inverter is assured even in such an abnormal condition accompanying momentary interruption of power supply, thereby surely outputting an initial setting signal.

  • Patent number: 5523549
Abstract: A ferrite composition is created by adding a high Curie temperature ferrite, such as lithium ferrite, to a soft magnetic ferrite, such as magnesium manganese zinc ferrite. The composition is used in a microwave oven dish or laminate wrap to crisp or brown food by maintaining the food at a desired temperature during microwave operation. The high Curie temperature ferrite is preferably selected from the group consisting of lithium ferrite, nickel ferrite, copper ferrite, magnesium ferrite, strontium ferrite, barium ferrite, manganese ferrite, strontium zinc ferrite, barium zinc ferrite, and mixtures thereof. Additionally, the preferred process of making the new ferrite composition for use in microwave browning dishes includes the low-cost method of sintering raw materials in an air atmosphere. A browning plate including the ferrite compositions, and a microwave oven suitable for use with the browning plate are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a thinfilm transistor array designed to drive an active-matrix type liquid-crystal panel to be incorporated in a liquid-crystal display device, and is to offer a thinfilm transistor array solving the conventional problems of disconnections possible between the display electrodes and the drain electrodes and short-circuits possible between the display electrodes and the data wiring. By these, high-quality images can be displayed with a high reliability can be obtained together with an improved fabrication process thereof. In order to accomplish these objectives of the invention, the display electrodes of said thinfilm transistor array are disposed between the gate insulation layer and the inter-insulation layer, and the display electrodes are connected to the drain electrodes by means of a data wiring disposed through contact holes provided through the inter-insulation layer.
