  • Patent number: 8313398
Abstract: A helical broadhead for an archery arrow may include a tapered ferrule having a tip end and an arrow end, and at least two helical blades which extend from the tip end to and towards the arrow end. The at least two helical blades may continuously helically curve from the tip end to the back side of the helical blades, and the helical blades may include a cutting edge. The broadhead may include a threaded shaft, and the helical blades may be a constant thickness. The helical blades may include a tapered cross-section, and the cutting edges may form a tip.

  • Patent number: 8004491
Abstract: A system/method to store and compare computer generated vector lines through an insecure or a secure communication channel. Using an input device (i.e. computer Keyboard, finger, soft keypad, or any other input from body movements, electrical current, or impulses, or input from human or mechanical sound waves) to a physical machine, or through a token (i.e. credit card, USB token, which can be carried around by user), a user enters and sends their unique identifier and reference code (i.e. PIN, password, other secret code) to the physical machine by making a contact or contact-less to the computer system. As part of the enrollment process the user inscribes a pre-determined set of continuous vector lines (CVLs). The CVLs include data points that are collected from any computer pointing device in a specific format, using a push down anatomical technique and are sent to local active content (i.e. a library, or a program, or an add-on to the internet browser i.e.

  • Patent number: 7836903
Abstract: A beach umbrella with improved sturdiness, durability and ability to keep the shading size maximized, but weight of the structure to the minimum is disclosed. The umbrella may include a poll member, an upper ring member at substantially the top of the poll member, a slider member which is movable along the poll member, a interior rod frame stretching member to pivot with respect to the upper ring member, a support rod frame member to pivot with respect to the slider member and a transfer rod frame member to pivot with respect to the support rod frame member.

  • Patent number: 7832649
Abstract: This invention includes a device to attach an identifying device to the item of interest. The identify device attached to the item of interest may be referred to as a protected device that can be kept in communication with a background device. A protected device is formed when a an item of interest such as a credit card, drivers license, or medical card has an identifying device attached to the item of interest that converts the item of interest to the protected device which protects an existing object of interest.

  • Patent number: 7834772
Abstract: A monitoring system for monitoring an air-conditioner may include a pressure sensor for detecting the pressure of the fluid of the air-conditioner, a power sensor for detecting the presence of supply voltage supplied to the air-conditioner and applied voltage which is applied to the air-conditioner, an activation device to activate an alarm based upon the detection of the pressure from the pressure sensor, the detection of the supply voltage to the air-conditioner and the detection of the applied voltage to the air-conditioner. The activation device may be activated based only on the loss of pressure detected by the pressure sensor, and the activation device may not be activated if the supplied voltage is detected. The activation device may be activated when both the supplied voltage is detected and the applied voltage is not detected, and the activation device may be connected to a disconnect switch to detect the supplied voltage.

  • Patent number: 7663614
Abstract: A method is provided for creating a quadrant array by using two consecutive points in an array of x, y coordinate values generated by movements of a computer mouse or a digitizer tablet. The quadrant array is then saved in computer storage for later verification with a sample quadrant array by using a comparison function.

  • Patent number: 7501640
Abstract: A low energy electron cooling system and method for increasing the phase space intensity and overall intensity of low energy ion beams, including a vacuum chamber to allow electron beam and ion beam merging and separation, a cathode to generate the electron beam, a collector to collect the electron beam, magnetic field generation devices to guide the electrons on their desired trajectories, and electrodes to accelerate and decelerate the electron beam. By overlapping the electron and ion beams, thermal energy is transferred from the ion beam to the electron beam, which allows an increase in the phase space density and overall density of the ion beams. Advantageously, the low energy electron cooling system uses electrodes to set up electrostatic potentials that trap non-beam neutralizing-background-ions longitudinally within the electron cooling region and solenoidal fields that trap the non-beam neutralizing-background-ions radially within the electron cooling region.

  • Patent number: 7237600
Abstract: A heat transfer support surface for heating or cooling food articles placed adjacent the support surface by circulating a heat transfer fluid in the internal passages of the support surface is disclosed. Circulated fluid is heated or cooled by a source. Support surface contains multiple heat transfer elements arranged substantially in parallel and interconnected on both ends. Flow control tubes control the fluid flow and reduce the amount of fluid required. The method of making the support surface is also disclosed.
