Abstract: A bracket and a fighting chair for a fishing boat incorporating the bracket. The bracket includes a first part which can be attached to the seat of a fishing chair, and which has two removable pins and a fixed pin extending between two walls, and a rotating part which has a near end with a slot which is inserted between the two walls of the fixed part to engage the pins. The rotating part has a far end which can be attached to the back of the chair. With the bracket incorporated in the chair, the seatback has an upright position, an intermediate reclining position, a down position underneath the seat of the chair where the seatback is entirely out of the way, and a locked position just beyond the down position.
Abstract: A combination electric motor and transmission unit device has two inputs and a rotational mechanical output, at least one of the inputs being of electrical power, to a corresponding integral combination of an electric motor means with a transmission means. The directions of rotation and the rotational speeds of the two inputs can be controlled to provide the mechanical output at any desired rotational speed with peak power output, depending on the controls, thus providing an ideal infinite speed device. The device employs a novel arrangement of a differential unit or a planetary gear unit. The combined motor and transmission device is lightweight, requires a small number of moving parts, and is useful in vehicles powered by electricity, including for regenerative braking. Another embodiment of the drive device is useful for a flywheel for peak power supplementation and also regeneration.
Abstract: A nail plate, intended especially for joining wooden beams, is made with columns of nails formed by tongue-shaped punch-outs. The punch-outs are arranged in parallel to a pair of longitudinal edges of the plate, and at least one of a front edge and a rear edge, each extending diagonally between the longitudinal edges, has a stepped pattern.
Abstract: A puzzle cube with movable sliders provides games with different levels of difficulty. At least one of the surfaces of the cubelets forming an exterior surface part of the base cube is not provided with a slider, thus defining at least one blank. This allows during the game the moving of anyone of the sliders adjacent a blank, on the same side of the base cube, to be moved into the blank. Each slider can be numbered, or given an orientation such as by an arrow thereon, or all the sliders for each side of the base cube can be given a respective different color, either by being so manufactured or by means of stickers placeable on the sliders. The respective parts of the base club can also be colored and/or numbered, for instance the bands along the intersections of the exterior surfaces (faces) of the base cube, these bands extending peripherally as a frame around the collection of sliders on each face of the base cube.
Abstract: Round wood trunks are formed into beams, boards, etc. shaped on all sides, each round wood trunk being continuously flattened along its lengthwise direction in each of several working steps. In each feeding operation of the round wood trunk, it is simultaneously flattened on at least two sides.
Abstract: A composite beam has round timber sections joined by nail plates, each timber section being edged in accordance with the conical contour of the tree trunk from which it is formed. The timber sections are joined by the nail plates with their tapered ends pointed in the same or in opposite directions, depending on the load requirements. Each nail plate has a front edge, a rear edge and a pair of longitudinal edges, and rows of nails are formed of tongue-shaped punch-outs in the nail plate, with each punch-out being parallel to the longitudinal edges. A step pattern is provided on the front edge and/or the rear edge.
