Abstract: A manufacturing method and apparatus for IC fabrication controls the ion angular distribution at the surface of a wafer with electrodes in a wafer support that produce electric fields parallel to the wafer surface without disturbing plasma parameters beyond the wafer surface. The ion angular distribution function (IADF) at the wafer surface is controlled for better feature coverage or etching. Grid structure is built into the substrate holder within the coating at the top of the holder. The grid components are electrically biased to provide electric fields that combine with the sheath field to distribute the ion incidence angles from the plasma sheath onto the wafer. The grid can be dynamically biased or phased to control uniformity of the effects.
Abstract: A plunger storage and transportation device that is adapted to store, hold, and secure, and is capable of storing, holding, and securing, many different sizes, shapes, and styles of plungers. The plunger storage and transportation device includes structure that secures at least the plunger head within a housing. The device can be easily transported from one location to another while securing a plunger in a contained, clean, and easy manner. Accordingly, the plunger storage and transportation device may be used with, and can transport, a multitude of different plungers produced by a wide variety of plunger manufacturers, and therefore not be limited to one type or size of plunger.

Abstract: A bird feeder including an enclosure, heat shield and clinging element especially suited for clinging birds. A suspension element allows the bird feeder to hang from an overhead structure and supports a basket within the enclosure. The basket contains bird feed suspended under the protection of the enclosure and heat shield.
Abstract: A device and method for tensile testing of the bond strength of an electrically conductive ball adhered to a substrate. A ball is gripped and moved at a speed in a direction substantially orthogonal to the plane of adherence. The substrate is abruptly halted by an abutment to impose a sudden load on the ball/substrate interface. During the test the substrate is lightly urged toward the ball to eliminate unwanted tensile forces.

Abstract: Shown is a ring for interchangeably displaying a bead-type ornament. The ring includes a shank portion for at least partially circling a user's finger. A support member extends away from the shank to a position spaced from the user's finger. A post extends from the support member toward the user and terminates in a free end. A bead-type ornament may be positioned on the post while the ring is not on a finger and is held captive by the support member and post when the ring is on a finger.

Abstract: An inductively coupled plasma source is provided with a peripheral ionization source for producing a high-density plasma in a vacuum chamber for semiconductor wafer coating or etching. The source has a segmented configuration with high and low radiation segments and produces a generally ring-shaped array of energy concentrations in the plasma around the periphery of the chamber. Energy is coupled from a segmented low inductance antenna through a dielectric window or array of windows and through a segmented shield or baffle. The antenna for the source is a planer coil having at least two windings with the gap between the windings variable or modulated to control the antenna inductance around the antenna. The antenna has a plurality of, for example three, high inductance segments as a result of the conductor windings being closely spaced alternating with low inductance segments as a result of the conductor windings being widely spaced. The antenna and a shield are part of a plasma source.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a multisurfaced object having at least a first surface and a second surface, with at least a first symbol disposed on the first surface and a second symbol disposed on the second surface. The apparatus also includes a container having an interior compartment and an opening in the container, wherein the multisurfaced object is positioned within the interior compartment, and at least the first surface is visible through the opening. The apparatus further comprises a mechanism associated with the multisurfaced object, adapted to rotate the multisurfaced object such that the second symbol is visible through the opening.
Abstract: A high conductance, multi-tray film precursor evaporation system coupled with a high conductance vapor delivery system is described for increasing deposition rate by increasing exposed surface area of film precursor. The multi-tray film precursor evaporation system includes one or more trays. Each tray is configured to support and retain a solid precursor, and permit the flow of a carrier gas. Furthermore, each tray comprises precursor stabilization elements designed to maintain a substantially level solid precursor powder during transport of the multi-tray precursor evaporation system.
