    Abstract: An apparatus for connecting a security cable to a consumer article. The apparatus is a body having a cavity with an entry opening in communication with the cavity. Structure is provided for mounting the body to the wall of a consumer article in an operative position thereon wherein a wall on the consumer article to which the body is attached at least partially blocks the entry opening. With the inventive structure, a fitting on a security cable can be introduced into the body cavity with the body separated from a consumer article but is prohibited from being be removed from the body cavity with the body in its operative position on a consumer article.

A platform is slidably received in the cavity. A plate has one part of a reversibly extensible structure secured thereto. A flexible line has a segment secured to the platform and the linear movement thereof is controlled by a guide on the plate and a guide associated with the frame.

    Abstract: A puller for removing an object from a shaft including first and second collars movable relative to one another along an axis, at least two circumferentially spaced damping jaws pivotally supported at one end to the first collar and having means at the other end for grasping the object, at least two circumferentially spaced links, each of the links being pivotally supported at one end to the second collar and pivotally supported at the other end to an associated clamping jaw, and a drive structure for moving the collars together along the axis away from the shaft. A hydraulic cylinder drive axially adjusts the collars relative to one another to control movement of the clamping jaws. The clamping jaws may include bidirectional claws for selective use, with the collars and links being positionable to permit the axial spacing from the first collar to be selectively less than or greater than the axial spacing between the collars.

    Abstract: Difficulties with wear and the cost of guide systems for pushrods and overhead valve engines are reduced in an overhead valve internal combustion engine of the type having a block (10) with at least one cylinder (12), a head (26) fitted to the block (10), a valve (32) mounted for reciprocating movement in the head (26) toward and away from the cylinder (12) and a rocker arm (56) rockably mounted on the head (26). The rocker arm (56) abuts the valve (32) oppositely of the cylinder (12) and aligned pushrod cavities (72), (74) are respectively provided in the head (26) and block (10). A reciprocal pushrod (64) is disposed in the cavities (72), (74) and engages the rocker arm (56) oppositely of the valve (32). According to the invention, guides in the form of two spaced pins (78), (80) are disposed in one of the cavities (72) and are laterally spaced a distance about equal to the thickness of the pushrod (64) and are also spaced in the direction of reciprocation (82) of the pushrod (64).

    Abstract: Energy conservation may be increased and emission production reduced in a cooling system for the internal combustion engine (10) of a vehicle that includes a high temperature radiator (50) and a lower temperature radiator (38) aligned so that airflow will flow serially through the two, passing through the lower temperature radiator (38) before passing through the higher temperature radiator (50). A liquid cooled condenser (30) is in circuit with the lower temperature radiator (38) and provides condensed refrigerant to an evaporator (20). A compressor (34) is in circuit with the condenser (30) and the evaporator (20) to provide for air conditioning and a charge air cooler (42) for the vehicle engine (10) is located in series with the lower temperature radiator (38) and the refrigerant condenser (30) to provide for improved cooling of charge air. The vehicle engine 10 is in series with the high temperature radiator 50 as is a heater 14.
