Abstract: A plasma processing system efficiently couples radiofrequency energy to a plasma confined within a vacuum processing space inside a vacuum chamber. The plasma processing system comprises a frustoconical dielectric window, an inductive element disposed outside of the dielectric window, and a frustoconical support member incorporated into an opening in the chamber wall. The support member has a frustoconical panel that mechanically supports a frustoconical section of the dielectric window. The dielectric window is formed of a dielectric material, such as a ceramic or a polymer, and has a reduced thickness due to the mechanical support provided by the support member. The processing system may include a gas source positioned above the substrate support for introducing the process gas into the vacuum processing space.

Abstract: A liquid dispensing module and nozzle or die tip for discharging at least one liquid filament. The nozzle includes a wedge-shaped member having a pair of side surfaces converging to an apex. A liquid discharge passage extends along an axis through the wedge-shaped member and through the apex. The wedge-shaped member extends in a radially asymmetrical manner around the liquid discharge passage. Four air discharge passages are positioned at the base of the wedge-shaped member. At least one air discharge passage is positioned adjacent each of said side surfaces and each of the air discharge passages is angled in a compound manner generally toward the liquid discharge passage and offset from the axis of the liquid discharge passage.
Abstract: A disposable net assembly is provided for a trap for collecting floatable debris in a waterway or combined sewer system. The net assembly includes a knitted bag-shaped mesh net having a frame surrounding the mouth of the net with the net secured around its rim to the frame. The net may be formed of an inner layer and an outer layer of mesh with the openings of the inner layer being substantially larger than the openings of the outer layer. The frame may be formed of a plastic molded material having side members tapered in the vertical direction to facilitate the changing of the netting assemblies and tapered in the downstream direction to lock into place under the force of the flow. Several embodiments of the frame members have projections thereon which cooperate with a clamping element to hold the net to the frame. Some embodiments of the members have parts that lock together with a post and hole construction while others employ a tension band to clamp the net to the projections on the frame.

Abstract: A shelf assembly for organizing and merchandising a plurality of products. The shelf assembly comprises a shelf having a bottom, plurality of dividers extending from front to back, a pair of dividers and the bottom forming a track in which a column of products are arranged. A front member pivotal about a stop, or pivotally engaged with the dividers, prevents the forwardmost product within the column from falling off the front of the shelf. The pivotal front members enable product to be pulled forwardly off the shelf, minimizing the spacing necessary between adjacent shelves.
Abstract: A coupled waveband (14, 21) suspension for bed underframes, seating, upholstery, and mattresses consists of several sinusoidal wavebands (14, 21) which run parallel and/or transversely to the longitudinal axis. Support elements (12, 35) are rigidly or moveably fixed to or ride on the crests or maxima of the wavebands (14, 21). The troughs or minima are supported by slide or roll bearing elements (17) affixed to the frame. A strong interactive coupling is achieved between the support elements (12, 35) causing a positive stroke of the less pressure-loaded segments and the appropriate support elements by the simultaneous lowering of the pressure-loaded waveband segments. The wavebands (14, 21) are manufactured out of higher quality, elastically flexible sold plastic or foam material, or of spring steel band or wire, duralumin, or out of formed laminated wood.
Abstract: An erection anchor having a forged unitary body that includes a substantially cylindrical shank with one end embedable in a concrete panel and an opposite end extending into a recess in an end of the concrete panel. The forged unitary body also has a substantially cylindrical foot integrally formed with the one end of the shank and a shackle-engageable, planar head integrally formed with the opposite end of the shank. The planar head has first and second opposed substantially planar surfaces and a boss integrally formed with the planar head and extending outward from the first planar surface. The boss provides bearing surfaces that interlock the erection anchor with the concrete panel.

Abstract: A backplane assembly for a substrate processing system that is selectively configurable to provide an effective thermal contact with substrates of differing sizes. The backplane assembly includes a backplane base installed in a vacuum chamber of the substrate processing system and plural faceplates which are removably mountable to the backplane base. The backplane assembly is operable for regulating the temperature of the substrate and include elements that promote the efficient transfer of heat between the backplane base and the faceplate to perform the temperature regulation during processing. Each of the faceplates has a contact surface dimensioned and configured to engage a correspondingly dimensioned and/or configured type of substrate. The faceplates are readily demountable from the backplane base for exchange to accommodate a change in the dimension and/or configuration of the substrates being processed by the substrate processing system without removing the backplane base from the vacuum chamber.

Abstract: A cutting table for cutting pieces of fabric. The table has a fabric supporting surface mounted on a frame. A cutter is manually movable along a linear cutting path that is substantially perpendicular to an edge guide. First and second light emitting devices emit respective first and second lights in a direction substantially parallel to the linear cutting path. A manually powered drive supports the first and second light emitting devices in a spaced apart relationship, and the drive is manually operable to move the light emitting devices through equal displacements in opposite directions substantially perpendicular to the linear cutting path. The light emitting devices are used to quickly align the fabric, so that it can be cut to a desired width.
Abstract: Cyanine dye bioconjugates useful for diagnostic imaging and therapy are disclosed. The conjugates include several cyanine dyes with a variety of bis- and tetrakis (carboxylic acid) homologes. The compounds may be conjugated to bioactive peptides, carbohydrates, hormones, drugs, or other bioactive agents. The small size of the compounds allows more favorable delivery to tumor cells as compared to larger molecular weight imaging agents. The various dyes are useful over the range of 350 to 1,300 nm, the exact range being dependent upon the particular dye. The use of dimethylsulfoxide helps to maintain the fluorescence of the compounds. The inventive compounds are useful for diagnostic imaging and therapy, in endoscopic applications for the detection of tumors and other abnormalities, for localized therapy, for photoacoustic tumor imaging, detection and therapy, and for sonofluorescence tumor imaging, detection and therapy.
