Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing strip material or the like from a source of said material, the apparatus having a frame; a mount borne by the frame for receiving a source of the material; a drive member mounted on the frame for feeding a strip of the material from the source of the material; and a control member mounted on the frame for movement toward and from the drive member and selectively positionable to carry a strip to the material extended between the control member and drive member into engagement with the drive member selectively to feed the strip of material from the source of the material.
Abstract: A plunger apparatus for pumping fluid in a well having a tubular barrel, the apparatus providing an upper portion adapted to be secured on a tubing string for axial movement within the barrel, the upper portion providing a bore axially therethrough and mounting a filter element in communication with a plurality of passages communicating transversely through the upper portion from the bore to an interface defined between the exterior surface of the upper portion and the well barrel; an elongated, sleeve-like intermediate portion secured on the upper portion and providing a bore axially therethrough; and a lower portion secured on the intermediate portion and providing a bore axially therethrough and mounting a valve member internally of the bore; and a plurality of sealing members circumscribing the upper portion and lower portion and bounding the interface defined between the apparatus and the well barrel.
Abstract: A fishing apparatus particularly well suited for ice fishing including a housing mounting a fishing reel which deploys a fishing line. Legs are releasably mounted on the housing to support the housing in an operational attitude. An indicating assembly is mounted on the housing for pivotal movement from a ready position to an indicating position upon movement of the fishing reel to indicate that a fish has struck the fishing line.
Abstract: A needle assembly for hand-held use in performing medical procedures having a first needle having a hollow shaft, the shaft having a pointed tip having a surface disposed at a predetermined angular relation to the longitudinal axis of the shaft; a second needle dimensioned for close-fitting removable insertion within the shaft; locking means for retaining the first and second needle in a fixed attitude relative to each other; and guide means adapted to indicate the attitude of deployment of the tip during use of the needle assembly in medical procedures. Also, an apparatus adapted for attachment on a conventional needle assembly for indicating the disposition of the tip thereof and for manipulating the needle assembly in an operative environment.
Abstract: An apparatus for filling containers with a substantially precise, predetermined weight of articles, such as fruit and the like, providing a frame mounting a first station, a second station, and a third station disposed serially of each other; an article-diverting assembly having a fast-fill chute adapted to direct articles toward a container supported on the second station and a slow-fill chute adapted to direct articles toward a partially-filled container on the second station; means for sensing the weights of the containers on the second and third stations; and means for moving the containers from the first to the second and third stations.
Abstract: A device for imaging and removing obstructions from blood vessels and the like having a flexible tubular housing dimensioned for insertion within a blood vessel; a fiberoptic bundle adapted to conduct laser beams to an obstruction for the destruction of portions thereof; and an ultrasound portion adapted to generate ultrasonic waves processable to create an image of an obstruction.
Abstract: A device for cleaning male and female electrical connectors, the device providing a body having spaced, opposite ends one of which is adapted for use in cleaning a female electrical connector and the other of which is adapted for use in cleaning a male electrical connector, the body further having guide means on each end for aligning the end with the connector for which it is adapted to clean.
Abstract: A table for use with a wheelchair providing a table portion and a mounting assembly adapted to be attached on the wheelchair to mount the table portion for pivotally and elevationally adjustable disposition thereof.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of plum tree to be known as the "Sweet Heart" which is most closely similar to the well known Casselman Plum Tree from which it is distinguished by pink rather than white blossoms, large leaves, and larger fruit.
Abstract: An olive tree particularly characterized by its similarity to the Manzanillo olive tree of which it is a sport and from which it is distinguished by producing larger fruit which is more nearly spherical having smaller pits, and smaller leaves.
Abstract: A grapevine particularly characterized by its grapes which are generally similar to those of the Emperor (unpatented) grapevine having the late ripening, color, flavor and storage characteristics of the Emperor from which it is distinguished by a marked ability to benefit from the application of gibberellic acid thereon to improve the size and quality of the berries and which displays the seedless characteristics of the Thompson seedless grapevine.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of peach tree, denominated "Summer Lady", producing freestone fruit similar to that of the O'Henry peach tree but ripening one week to ten days earlier under the same cultural practices.
