Abstract: A lamp includes a combustion chamber having a neck that defines a combustion chamber air outlet. A candle is disposed in the combustion chamber and, when burned, creates an upward flow of air and combustion products through the neck. A reservoir is disposed around a portion of the neck with a material to be heated disposed in the reservoir. In one configuration, the material is a candle fuel that is wicked by the neck and drips into the candle to refuel the candle. In another configuration, the material is a scented material that evaporates when heated to distribute the scent. A cooling chamber may be disposed above the combustion chamber with the outlet of the cooling chamber being disposed below the outlet of the neck. Another configuration allows the height of the flame to be adjusted by varying the volume of air allowed to be drawn into the unit.
Abstract: A method for fabricating muntin grid pieces includes steps that attach an outer muntin grid element to an inner muntin grid element to form a two piece muntin grid piece. The outer muntin grid element surrounds at least three sides of the inner muntin grid element and may be held to the outer muntin grid element without connectors such as adhesive. The outer muntin grid element may be a slit tube that is spread open to be positioned over the inner muntin grid element.
Abstract: An insulating glazing unit includes a pair of glazing sheets spaced apart with a spacer assembly. The spacer assembly includes an inner spacer member and an outer spacer member that are fabricated in a linear fashion and then folded into a frame. The outer spacer member may be initially formed in a flat configuration, cut to width, and then wrapped around the inner spacer member to form the spacer assembly. The outer spacer member carries the desiccant of the spacer assembly. The outer spacer member may also be gunned directly to the inner spacer member.
Abstract: A button tool is adapted to assist a person fastening a button through a button hole. The tool includes a handle, a button hook, and a button hole spreader. In one configuration, the handle includes four longitudinally disposed ribs with one of the ribs functioning as a base rib while the other three ribs are spaced apart and disposed perpendicular to the base rib. The button hook defines a button opening and a hook opening with the button opening being larger than the hook opening. The button hole spreader is disposed between the button hook and the handle. The button hole spreader includes an abutment plate adapted to prevent the button tool from being readily pushed entirely through a button hole.
Abstract: A muntin clip supports a muntin grid inside an insulating glazing unit. The clip includes a positioning arm that allows the clip to be positioned with respect to the spacer. In one embodiment, the clip has a flat base adapted to be positioned on the inwardly facing surface of the spacer. The positioning arm extends from one side of the plate with the muntin-engaging body extending from the other side of the plate. The arm has an outer end that projects beyond the outer edge of the plate. A method for using the clip includes the step of using one of the glass sheets to engage and position the positioning arm of the muntin clip. Stops may be provided to limit the insertion of the clip into the spacer.
Abstract: A locking device and method for a storage container provide benefit denial. The locking device includes a base part and a cover part configured to lock to the base part. The cover part is configured to prevent a disk from being removed from a disk-retaining hub when the cover part is locked to the base part, and the base part is configured for easy and secure connection to the storage container. The base part includes a stop for engaging the exterior of the case when inserted into a receptacle in the bottom wall of the container, which precludes the base part from being pulled through the bottom wall of the storage container When the cover part is locked to the base part, the base part cannot be separated from the storage container without causing damage to the media disk.
Abstract: A lockable storage container includes a lock that is movable from a locked position to an unlocked position while the lock is carried by the container. An indicator is used to indicate the status of the lock to the user. The lock is held in the unlocked position so that it cannot accidentally move back into the locked position. A magnetic key is used to unlock the lock and move the lock slide to the unlocked position.

Abstract: The present invention includes a baluster assembly system comprising: (a) a first baluster portion comprising a first tubular section and having a first attachment adapted to be attached to a surface, and a first engagement end; (b) a second baluster portion comprising a second tubular section and having a second attachment adapted to be attached to a surface, and a second engagement end; the first tubular section adapted to slidingly engage the second tubular section, and (c) a locking fixture adapted to fix the position of the first baluster portion with respect to the second baluster portion after the first tubular section and the second tubular section have been engaged.
Abstract: A seat cover adapted to removably cover a seat in an automobile includes a cover body being formed from one layer of non-woven material which may be made from spunbond-meltblown-spunbond (SMS) fibers. The cover body has a longitudinal direction and a pair of ends. The cover body defines a pair of pockets adapted to receive portions of the seat with the pockets disposed at opposite ends of the cover body.

Abstract: A milking liner for an automated milking machine includes a barrel that moves between an uncollapsed position and a collapsed condition when it is subjected to a vacuum milking condition. The barrel defines at least three parallel channels open to the inner surface of the barrel. The configuration of the sidewall of the barrel and the channels cause the barrel to uniformly collapse when the barrel is subjected to a vacuum milking condition. In one configuration, ribs protrude from the barrel sidewall and define channels with the same wall thickness as the sidewall segments disposed between the ribs.
Abstract: The invention provides the combination of a grille and a connector frame for a duct outlet in a HVAC system. At least one lock element extends from one of the connector frame and the grille and releaseably engages the other of the connector frame and grille in a releasable connection to hold the grille to the connector frame. The lock element may be manipulated from the exterior of the grille to release the grille from the connector frame without the use of tools.
