Abstract: A method, a device and a system are proposed for controlling advertising in an information network, in particular the Worldwide Web (WWW), via which several users have access to information. The system has a data-processing device formed as a profiler which allocates a user identity to every user and which evaluates first data which a first device provides and which contains details about his access behaviour to the information, in particular logfile data. The profiler also evaluates for the respective users second data which a second device provides and which contains details about the users' interests in the type of information which is preferably gathered via questionnaires online and/or offline. The profiler supplements the first and/or second data with third data which a third device provides and which contains details about the identity of the respective user. These personal data come from a service provider system such as e.g. the freemail system www.freemail.de.
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring messages addressed to a first receiver (E1), comprising a first receiver (E1) which contains a first undesirable receiver device (UNE) and which prevents a user of the first receiver (E1) from accessing the undesirable receiver (UNE), wherein a message category is defined as undesirable, and messages which are to be prevented from being made available to a user of the first receiver (E1) a re indicated. Verification occurs as to whether a message (M) addressed to the first receiver (E1) falls into the undesirable category. If the message (M) falls into the undesirable category, it is assigned to the undesirable receiver device (UNE). The first receiver (E1) is configured in such a way that the undesirable receiver (UNE) can only be accessed by a second receiver (E2).
Abstract: A method of providing and operating an e-mail service (FM), wherein a user account (NK) with multiple folders (PE, PE1, PE2, . . . ) is assigned in each case to Internet users, wherein for the case that the user uses another Internet service (EB), particularly an auction service, which sends information e-mails to the user account (UK) of the e-mail service (FM), a services folder (AA) is provided, and wherein at least the incoming information e-mails from the Internet service (EB) are automatically tested depending on at least one specifiable criterion (ADR, IPA), particularly by testing the header data of the incoming e-mail, and, if the at least one criterion is fulfilled, are assigned to this services folder (AA). Preferably, and irrespective of the assignment of the e-mails to existing logical folders (PE1, PE2, PE3 . . . ), all e-mails which are recognized as auction e-mails are displayed in a common view (MA) and in the form of threads (A1, A2, A3 and A4).
