    Abstract: A solenoid actuated valve device for electrically controlling the flow of fluid includes a body having an inlet port and an outlet port, a hollow core positioned within the body and having first and second axially spaced openings which provide fluid communication between said inlet and outlet ports and a cover member secured to one end of the body so that the core is supported by the body and the cover member for axial adjustment movement relative thereto. A bobbin is slidably mounted on the core and is provided with a valve portion for controlling the effective area of the first and second openings. A solenoid coil is provided for shifting the value in opposite directions. In the absence of electric current to the coil first and second springs maintain the bobbin in a position so that the valve portion thereof is located between the first and second openings in the coil so that one opening will be completely open and the other will be completely closed.

    Abstract: An electrosurgical instrument for providing an interface between an electrosurgical electrode and an electrosurgical generator and for selectively providing electrical energy to the electrode for cutting, coagulation and the like, is provided. A hollow handle removably supports an electrode in one end and receives a three wire cable through an opening in its other end. The wires of the cable are supported and positioned on a substantially flat insert which has three flat-headed contact pins forced therein to penetrate the outer insulation of the wires and establish electrical contact with the wires. A conductor plate overlies the insert and is equipped with four conductor strips for contacting the electrode and the three contact pins, respectively. Switch buttons have stems that extend through apertures in the wall of the handle for selectively activating the conductor strips.

    Abstract: Apparatus for the external setting or securing of the parts of a fractured bone, comprising an elongate central body member comprised of two parts mutually displaceable parallel to the longitudinal axis of said member, whereby each part of the central body member supports a clamping device for the pins to be inserted into a part of the bone. The two mutually displaceable parts are engaged by a pressing and tensioning device causing the mutual longitudinal displacement of the part. When the pins are inserted in the bone parts to be pressed together, the pressing and tensioning device is actuated until the two bone sections abut against each other at the required pressure. Then the securing devices fix the two parts of the central body member into their position. Subsequently, the pressing and tensioning device is removed from the central body member since it is no longer required.

    Abstract: The disclosure is directed to apparatus for filtering a flow of melted plastic prior to use in an injection molding machine. The apparatus includes a cylindrical filter screen disposed in a cylindrical chamber to define an inner inlet chamber and outer outlet chamber. The incoming plastic enters the interior of the filter screen through an axial passage formed in the screen side wall. The material is thereafter forced radially outward through small filtration openings formed through the screen side wall, leaving filtered material and contaminants at the inner wall. Purging or cleaning of the filter screen is effected by a reciprocating shaft that passes through the cylindrical filter screen and partly defines the inner chamber. The shaft carries an imperforate cylindrical sleeve which slides axially through the inner chamber, wiping the inner cylindrical surface of the filter screen as it goes.

From the segment descriptor, a unique identification termed a logic page number may be calculated. The logic page number permits pseudo-associative access to a table containing a number of entries proportional to the number of physical pages of the main memory, allowing the physical address to be determined.

    Abstract: A facility cover in the form of an extensible shed has movable arches that support a flexible canvas cover. The arches are modular and are connected in groups by diagonal elements hinged so as to form parallelograms with pantograph movement. The ends of the shed have at least one arch of reduced height so as to form an apse shape. Folding elements are provided on the sides of the shed that cooperate with the hinged parallelogram structure so as to assure that the cover folds outwardly in a bellows fashion as the arches are moved close to each other. As a result, the folding of the cover does not interfer with the movement of the arches.

The density of the solution is from 1.25 to 1.35 g/cc, and the value of the molar ratio R=(CaO+MgO)/(P.sub.2 O.sub.5 +CrO.sub.3) is from 0.7 to 0.9.
