    Abstract: A packaging for a case for a mobile device. A housing has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and second portion collectively interact to define an internal volume sufficient to contain the case. A set of stops disposed on the first portion define an alignment area dimensioned to snugly retain the mobile device. An adhesive screen protector for the mobile device is disposed within the second portion to be in alignment with a screen of the mobile device when the mobile device is positioned in the alignment area and the first portion and second portion are in a closed configuration.

    Abstract: A mount for a mobile device on a fixed feature of an automobile. A platform has a device side attachment surface. The housing also has an attachment extension to couple to the fixed feature such that the device side attachment surface has a permanently fixed orientation relative to the attachment extension. A wireless charger may be coupled to the platform and a first arrangement of magnetic material. The magnetic material exposes a pattern of magnetic fields at the device side attachment surface. The attachment extension maintains the surface at a fixed angle relative to the feature to which it is attached.

The wallet has a first arrangement of magnetic material with a first region exposing a first polarity magnetic field at the device side surface and a second adjacent region exposing an opposite polarity magnetic field at the device side surface. The wallet also has a second arrangement of magnetic material with a first region exposing a first polarity magnetic field at the device side surface and a second adjacent region exposing an opposite polarity magnetic field at the device side surface. Collectively, the first and second arrangements, in use, magnetically couple the accessory to a mobile device and cause the accessory to adopt a specific orientation on the mobile device.

    Abstract: A mounting mechanism for mounting an electronic device, such as an electronic display device, to various surfaces, including ferrous surfaces. The mounting mechanism may include friction pads for attachment to the electronic display device. In one implementation a plurality of magnets are embedded within the friction pads. Alternatively, the magnets may be directly attached to the electronic display device and covered by the friction pads. When the mounting mechanism is used to mount the electronic device to a ferrous surface, the magnets and the friction pad respectively provide magnetic and frictional forces so as to enable secure mounting of the electronic display device to the ferrous surface. The mounting mechanism may also include a frame disposed to be affixed to a non-ferrous surface. The frame defines a ferrous surface to which the electronic display device may then be mounted using various configurations of magnets and friction pads.
