  • Patent number: 10807770
Abstract: The asphalt sealer packaging and dispensing system includes a pre-portioned, modular containment for a volume of cold pour asphalt sealer. The modular containment forms a cube shaped outer corrugated cardboard housing having a high temperature stable bladder insert. The bladder insert forms an upper handle that may extend through a first slot for handling and control of the outer housing. A dispensing tab may be formed as a tongue extension that extends through an opposing second slot. Shearing the outer terminus of the tongue extension thereby forms a shaped spout for allowing a linear output of asphalt sealer to be directly dispensed into a target surface.

  • Patent number: 10482348
Abstract: A system and method are provided for discriminating and tracking a coherently structured feature dynamically defined in evolving manner within a migratory medium. A data set is captured for a plurality of physical points defined within a multi-dimensional physical space, in terms of a plurality of scalar parameter values. At least one pre-selected target feature type is established, as is a scalar field predefined by at least one of the scalar parameters. A sparse set of key points is selectively generated a within the scalar field. Each key point is associated with one of the physical points and descriptive information adaptively determined therefor from the data content within a neighborhood of the physical point coinciding therewith. At least one predetermined feature-based operation is executed responsive to the descriptive information of the key points as a surrogate for execution generally on the data set.

  • Patent number: 9258550
Abstract: A system is provided for adaptively conformed imaging of work pieces having disparate configurations, which comprises a mount unit for holding at least one work piece, and an imaging unit for capturing images of the work piece held by the mount unit. At least one manipulator unit is coupled to selectively manipulate at least one of the mount and imaging units for relative displacement therebetween. A controller coupled to automatically actuate the manipulator and imaging units executes scene segmentation about the held work piece, which spatially defines at least one zone of operation in peripherally conformed manner about the work piece. The controller also executes an acquisition path mapping for the work piece, wherein a sequence of spatially offset acquisition points are mapped within the zone of operation, with each acquisition point defining a vantage point for the imaging unit to capture an image of the work piece from.

  • Patent number: 9070012
Abstract: A system and method are provided for uncued discrimination of a bated spatial pattern in an image electronically rendered as a frame of image data points. A reference unit establishes a general dictionary of predefined multi-dimensional reference functions, and a candidate detection unit pre-screens the frame of image data points to identify therein at least one candidate grouping of image data points collectively indicative of a predetermined spatial pattern. A sparse approximation unit coupled to the candidate detection and reference units computes for each candidate grouping an optimal reference function defined with respect to the general dictionary. The optimal reference function of each candidate grouping is projected onto a corresponding portion of the image data frame defined thereby. Each projected portion is extracted from the image data frame to leave a residual image data frame which, during iterative execution, provides the image data frame for the immediately succeeding iteration.

  • Patent number: 7225548
Abstract: A system of independently oriented sighting devices includes a first sighting device (120) and a second sighting device (110). Upon aligning a line of sight of the first sighting device (12) with a target object (130), the first sighting device transmits a reference signal over a communications link (140). The second sighting device (110) determines its orientation in space relative to the orientation of the first sighting device (120) from characteristics of the reference signal. Thus, absolute coordinates of the target object (130) need not be known by the second sighting device (110) nor is it required that they be transmitted by the first sighting device (120). The user (115) of the second sighting device is directed to rotate the second sighting device (110) towards the target object (130) via feedback through guidance indicators located in a viewing port (250) thereof.
