Abstract: Described are systems and methods for providing an authorized user access to a restricted area using a combination of biometric identification factors, such as facial feature recognition, and wireless detection of a device associated with the authorized user.
Abstract: A method of enrolling in an authentication system may include obtaining biometric data of a user, and generating a biometric template vector using the biometric data. The enrolling method may also include encrypting the biometric template vector, and embedding the encrypted biometric template vector into a computer-scannable medium. An additional method of verification via an authentication system may include obtaining an encrypted and encoded form of a biometric template vector associated with a user. The verification method may also include decoding the biometric template vector, and obtaining biometric data of the user of a same form used to create the biometric template vector. The verification method may additionally include determining a similarity score between the decoded biometric template vector and the biometric data, and performing an action based on the similarity score.
Abstract: A method of utilizing location information to augment biometric screening. In some aspects, the method includes determining a mobile computing device's likely location, the mobile computing device associated with a user, and augmenting biometric analysis with the device's likely location. Augmenting biometric analysis with the device's likely location may involve increasing or decreasing a confidence level of the biometric analysis based on the device's likely location. The method may also include determining that the mobile computing device is not moving and entering into a waiting state until the mobile computing device is moving, and/or predicting the mobile computing device's likely location. The subject technology also encompasses mobile computing devices and/or systems programmed and/or configured to perform and/or facilitate the above methods.
Abstract: A technique of performing machine learning enhanced facial recognition. The technique includes accessing a facial image for a facial recognition target, performing facial recognition on the facial image, making a prediction regarding facial recognition candidates for the facial recognition target, and indicating a measure of confidence regarding the facial recognition performed on the facial image, with the measure adjusted based on the prediction. The prediction may be made based at least in part on a people model that statistically predicts the facial recognition candidates who may be present at a particular location at a particular time, a period model that predicts one or more times that the facial recognition candidates may be present at a particular location, behavioral data that indicates an intention of the facial recognition candidates to be at a particular location at a particular time, and/or actions such as purchasing tickets or registering for an event.
