Abstract: Methods and apparatus for control of vending machines by a user equipment. The methods and apparatus comprise a user device comprising an identification unit configured to obtain data identifying a vending machine from an identification unit of the vending machine. The user device further comprises a communication unit configured to query a database to obtain data relating to the content of the identified vending machine, and a user interface configured to present the obtained data to a user and to receive a user input relating to the content of the identified vending machine. The communication unit of the user device is configured to transmit to the database updated data based on the user input and relating to the content of the vending machine.
