  • Patent number: 10497053
Abstract: An augmented reality e-commerce platform may present 3-dimensional (3D) representations of products to a user in an augmented reality environment. In response to a query from a user that is initiated from within an augmented reality environment, image data and product data for a 3D production representation of the product are retrieved from a data store. The image data and the product data are compiled into an integrated file for rending the 3D product representation. The product data may include points of interest that are to be overlaid onto the 3D product representation rendered via the integrated file. The integrated file is used to render the 3D product representation of the product in the augmented reality environment. The augmented reality environment may shows one or more real world physical objects along with the 3D product representation, in which the 3D product representation is overlaid with the points of interest.

  • Patent number: 10235810
Abstract: The augmented reality e-commerce may maximize limited physical space within a store by providing virtual displays of products in predetermined physical spaces. A virtual shelf blueprint that includes positional information for virtual display locations on a virtual shelf may be received. Subsequently, geospatial sensor scans of multiple reference markers in a real-world may be received. The multiple reference markers may correspond to reference points in the virtual shelf blueprint. The virtual shelf may be mapped to the real-world based on the multiple reference markers, in which the mapping may be performed by assigning positional data of the multiple reference markers to the reference points in the virtual shelf blueprint. The virtual shelf may be populated with one or more 3-dimensional (3D) objects that virtually represent at least one real-world product for viewing via an augmented reality device.

  • Patent number: 10049500
Abstract: Augmented reality e-commerce may be useful for home improvement store chains that offer products and services. Initially, environmental data that includes spatial data or image data may be received from scanning sensors. The environmental data may be analyzed to detect recognizable patterns that represent environmental features. The environmental features may include surfaces or objects. Subsequently, a user selection of a surface or an object as a feature that is related to a desired product may be received. The feature is then compared to existing data to determine a specific product that fits the environment, in which the existing data includes at least one of virtual image data or product data. Further, an augmented reality environment that corresponds to the environment may be generated for presentation via an augmented reality device, in which the augmented reality environment may present a three-dimensional (3D) virtual representation of the specific product.
