  • Publication number: 20230234757
Abstract: A pop-top container assembly is provided. The assembly includes a pop-top cap and a container. The pop-top cap includes a base portion defining an opening having an inner surface. The pop-top cap further includes a cap portion pivotably coupled to the base portion and pivotable between an open position and a closed position. The container has an outer surface and defines an internal cavity with the outer surface depressible between a relaxed position and a depressed position. The base portion includes a lip extending from the inner surface and the cap portion includes a flange extending from the cap portion. The flange and the lip engage each other when the cap portion is in the closed position to secure the cap portion to the base portion. To this end, the pop-top cap and the container cooperate to disengage the flange and the lip from each other when the outer surface is depressed from the relaxed position to the depressed position.

  • Patent number: 11472373
Abstract: Multilayer metallo-dielectric energy control coatings are disclosed in which one or more layers are formed from a hydrogenated metal nitride dielectric, which may be hydrogenated during or after dielectric deposition. Properties of the multilayer coating may be configured by appropriately tuning the hydrogen concentration (and/or the spatial profile thereof) in one or more hydrogenated metal nitride dielectric layers. One or more metal layers of the multilayer coating may be formed on a hydrogenated nitride dielectric layer, thereby facilitating adhesion of the metal with a low percolation threshold and enabling the formation of thin metal layers that exhibit substantial transparency in the visible spectrum. Optical properties of the coating may be tuned through modulation of metal-dielectric interface roughness and dispersion of metal nanoparticles in the dielectric layer.

  • Patent number: 11220442
Abstract: A method of producing a final product from a wastewater dissolved air flotation (DAF) sludge which includes the following dewatering step: 5—dewatering of the sludge, an aged sludge or a pre-processed sludge to produce a sludge filter cake and a filtrate; such that the pre-processed is sludge, or aged sludge, that has undergone additional processing steps prior to dewatering and aged sludge is sludge that has been stored for a period of time, wherein the dewatering step is a mechanical dewatering step 10 carried out at a maximum of 30° C. which results in a sludge filter cake that does not flow under its own mass.

  • Patent number: 11126841
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for coding an iris pattern divides an iris area into a plurality of sectors on the basis of the assumption that a user's pupil and iris are not circular and then can code an iris pattern included in each sector. According to the present invention, an error occurrence frequency can be minimized compared with a case that an iris pattern is coded on the basis of the assumption that a pupil and an iris are circular.

  • Patent number: 10383515
Abstract: The method includes receiving an image of a user's eye region, selecting pixels included in a central region of the image, calculating an average value of brightness values of a plurality of adjacent pixels among the pixels included in the central region, converting the plurality of adjacent pixels into one pixel having the average value as a brightness value, comparing the brightness values of the converted pixels with a critical value to binarize the converted pixels, so as to create a binarized image, detecting a row including a pixel located at an uppermost end of pixels corresponding to a pupil, from the binarized image and correcting the position of the central region such that the pupil is located at the center of the image, based on position information of the row including the pixel located at the uppermost end of the pixels corresponding to the pupil.

  • Patent number: 10354164
Abstract: Receiving an iris image; detecting, among rows of the iris image, rows in each of which a number of consecutive pixels each having a brightness value above a first threshold value is larger than a second threshold value; detecting, among columns of the iris image, columns in each of which a number of consecutive pixels each having a brightness value above the first threshold value is larger than the second threshold value; selecting, among the detected rows, consecutive rows in a vertical direction whose number is larger than a third threshold; selecting, among the detected columns, consecutive columns in a horizontal direction whose number is larger than the third threshold and determining a set of the pixels as a glint if the set of pixels included in the selected rows and the selected columns and each having the brightness value above the first threshold has a predetermined shape.
