Patent number: 10865893Abstract: A rotatable valve spool for a spool valve manifold. The rotatable valve spool having a longitudinal axis along its length, a cylindrical body, a first end, and a second end. A first angled seal, a second angled seal, an optional central seal, and an outer seal each disposed on the cylindrical body with the optional central seal disposed between the first and second angled seals and the outer seal disposed between the second angled seal and the second end. A first flow port in the cylindrical body disposed outboard of the first angled seal between the first angled seal and the first end or disposed in the first end, and a second flow port disposed outboard of the second angled seal between the second angled seal and the outer seal.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2017Date of Patent: December 15, 2020Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties, Inc.Inventors: Nathan E. Patent number: 10753746Abstract: A digitizer system includes a substrate with indicia that uniquely define local areas of the substrate. A multi-mode sensor device, such as a stylus, may sense radiation emitted from the features, and selectively switch to a mode of operation that can sense the indicia and determine therefrom the location of the stylus relative to the substrate.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2012Date of Patent: August 25, 2020Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties, Inc.Inventors: Bernard O. Patent number: 10688411Abstract: To provide a porous molding that can be used as a molding that has sufficient strength to be self-supportable even when the dimensions change due to absorbing water and that can be suitably used as a filter for removing impurities in a liquid or gas. A porous molding is achieved by sintering a mixed powder including a dried gel powder and a thermoplastic resin powder, wherein the ratio of average particle diameter d1 of the thermoplastic resin powder to the average particle diameter d2 of the dried gel powder d2/d1 is 1.3 or greater, and the difference ratio of average particle diameter d1 of the thermoplastic resin powder to the average particle diameter d2 of the dried gel powder and the average particle diameter d3 of the dried gel powder when absorbing water and swelling is (d3?d2)/d1 is 4.0 or less.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2016Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties, Inc.Inventor: Mitsuaki Kobayashi

Patent number: 10071326Abstract: Described are filter cartridges comprising: a cartridge body and a filter media; a stem extending from the cartridge body, the stem having an inlet opening, an outlet opening, and a stem face that comprises a first valve driving surface and a second valve driving surface; and at least one lug attached to either the filter body or the stem having a leading engagement edge. The filter cartridges are suitable for translational insertion and rotational engagement of a manifold, wherein upon translation insertion, a valve engagement member of the filter cartridge engages a portion of a valve body of a manifold valve; during a first stage rotation, one or more retaining members of the filter cartridge engage a manifold cam of a manifold; and during a second stage rotation, the valve engagement member imparts rotational movement to the valve body. Systems and methods incorporating the filter cartridges are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2015Date of Patent: September 11, 2018Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties Inc.Inventor: Jeremy A.
