Patent number: 11223926Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for statistically associating mobile devices and non-mobile devices with geographic areas. One of the methods includes for each selected mobile device of a plurality of mobile devices, receiving latitude-longitude pairs for the selected mobile device, the latitude-longitude pairs corresponding to a location of the selected mobile device during a time period. The plurality of latitude-longitude pairs are organized into clusters, with the clusters corresponding to geographic regions visited by the selected mobile device during the time period. A score is calculated for each cluster, the score representing a likelihood that a user of the selected mobile device resides in a household within the cluster. A location of the user's household is identified to be within one of the geographic areas corresponding to the cluster having the highest score. The mobile device is associated with the geographic area having the highest score.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2019Date of Patent: January 11, 2022Assignee: 4INFO, INC.Inventors: Timothy W. Patent number: 8996033Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and systems for associating a mobile device to a household. In various embodiments, a plurality of latitude-longitude pairs is received for a mobile device during a time period. The latitude-longitude pairs are organized into a plurality of clusters corresponding to geographic regions visited by the mobile device during the time period. For each cluster, a score is calculated that represents a likelihood that a user of the mobile device resides in a household within the cluster. The cluster with the highest score is identified as being the location of the user's household. The computation is preferably conducted recursively over time periods. The mobile device is then associated with the user's household.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2014Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: 4INFO, Inc.Inventors: Yonggang Xu, Tim Jenkins

Publication number: 20070112739Abstract: A system and method is provided to provide information services to a plurality of mobile clients where the mobile clients can be any networked device including cell-phones, PDAs and other wireless devices. The system utilizes available communications protocols to submit requests and receive responses that can be information services and mobile content, such as ring tones and wallpaper. The system permits a user to conduct unstructured searches and to use hierarchical navigation systems for generating content-specific structured search queries and datasets. Searches can be based on a prior history of searches, geographical location, stated preferences and profile information associated with the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2006Publication date: May 17, 2007Applicant: 4Info, Inc.Inventors: Theodore Burns, Pankaj Shah, Eric Chu, Garth Patil, Markus Nordvik, Michael Stachowiak
