    Abstract: An anti-rotation device for fin-fans is provided. The anti-rotation device provides a one-way clutch on the vertical shaft of a fin-fan to prevent backward rotation of the fin-fan in order to reduce stresses to the fin-fan system during start-up. The invention also provides a clutch adaptor to enable attachment of the one-way clutch to a variety of fin-fan installations as well as a locking system to decrease the risk of injury during maintenance operations.
