Abstract: To provide fault-tolerant, spread spectrum clock signals, a plurality of processing modules having respective spread spectrum control circuits are provided. Clock signals of redundant clock sources are provided to the plurality of processing modules. Failover control logic selects a corresponding one of the clock signals from the redundant clock sources for use in each of the processing modules. Frequency spreading is applied to the corresponding selected clock signal in each of at least some of the plurality of processing module.

Abstract: A power generation system including an electrolyzer may be optimized taking non-linear operational constraints into account with lower processing requirements than current solutions in real time. A pre-processing module assesses non-linear operational constraints in a low-overhead manner and passes results to an optimization module. The optimization module determines an operating power value constrained in accordance with results from the pre-processing module. A post-processing module uses results from the pre-processing and optimization modules to assemble instructions to control the electrolyzer. As a result, optimization may be performed in real time.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer-readable media for presenting a mute indicator to a caller when the caller is attempting to provide input to a call that has been muted. In particular, a determination is made that a mute function is engaged during a call. An area surrounding a calling system, such as a phone, is then monitored by a monitoring system to determine whether a caller is attempting to provide input to the call. A determination is then made that a caller is attempting to provide input to the call. The determination may be based on a caller providing a threshold volume of voice input within a threshold area of proximity near the calling system. A mute indicator is then presented to the caller to notify the caller that the call has a mute function engaged.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method to reduce the radiation dose delivered by an imaging system is provided. The method comprises steps of selecting a virtual mask representation based on the shape of an organ to be masked, displaying the virtual mask representation on a scout image and manipulating radiation dose to be delivered so as to modify the virtual mask representation to obtain an optimum attenuation profile.
Abstract: A device for calibrating a spray gun and an associated method are provided. The spray gun has a nozzle that is opened and closed by moving an internal needle out of and into sealing engagement therewith. A virtual position of the needle is tracked and recorded. The control system is recalibrated when the virtual position and the actual position of the needle do not correspond. The device includes a sensor structured to detect characteristics of the current used to power the solenoid, and to identify an anomaly in solenoid current characteristics associated with an actuator member seating against the solenoid. The solenoid is placed in a calibration configuration and the identifiable anomaly is detected. When the identifiable anomaly is detected, the spray gun is returned to an initial configuration and the virtual needle position is reset. The virtual needle position and the actual needle position are then calibrated.
Abstract: A lens receives light emitted from an illumination source along an orientation in which a center of the lens is aligned with a central axis of illumination that forms an acute angle of incidence relative to a to-be-imaged surface and the lens directs the light toward the to-be-imaged surface.

Abstract: Improved method of and apparatus for aggregating data elements in multidimensional databases (MDDB). In the preferred embodiment, the apparatus is realized in the form of a high-performance stand-alone (i.e. external) aggregation server which can be plugged-into conventional MOLAP systems to achieve significant improvements in system performance. In accordance with the principles of the present invention, the stand-alone aggregation server contains a scalable MDDB and a high-performance aggregation engine that are integrated into the modular architecture of the aggregation server. The stand-alone aggregation server of the present invention can uniformly distribute data elements among a plurality of processors, for balanced loading and processing, and therefore is highly scalable.

Abstract: A thermally conductive silicone grease composition comprising at least the following components: an organopolysiloxane (A) represented by the following general formula: [wherein R1 designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups; X designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups of the following general formula: —R2—SiR1a(OR3)(3-a) (wherein R1 designates the previously mentioned groups; R2 designates oxygen atoms or alkylene groups; R3 designates alkyl groups; and ‘a’ is an integer ranging from 0 to 2); and ‘m’ and ‘n’ are integers equal to or greater than 0, respectively]; a thermally conductive filler (B); and an organopolysiloxane (C) having silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms on both molecular terminals and in the molecular chains; is characterized by excellent resistance to heat and reduced oil bleeding.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for scoring and ranking financial advisors based on their sales histories. The system includes a database and an advisor rating system processor in communication with the database. The database stores sales history data related to a plurality of financial advisors. The advisor rating system processor obtains data related to financial advisors from the database and calculates a score for each financial advisor based on their sales revenue and sales frequency. The advisor rating system processor then compares the advisors based on these scores and generates a report indicating to which financial advisors a company should market financial products.
Abstract: A shock absorber has a valve assembly having a valve that is biased away from a valve body. A controlled restriction is defined between the valve and the valve body. During stroking of the piston of the shock absorber, the valve moves toward the valve body to close the restriction. The valve assembly can be used in the piston assembly, the base valve assembly or both.

Abstract: A method and system for dynamically evaluating a quantity of context sensitive information used by an operator of an airborne mobile platform in performing an operational procedure involving said mobile platform, and determining, in real time, a sub-quantity of context sensitive information that pertains to only that sub-quantity of information required by said operator to execute said operational procedure. The sub-quantity of information is then displayed on a display in real time for the operator. The method and system significantly eases the cognitive workload of the operator by enabling the operator to focus on and digest only that sub-quantity of information that is pertinent to performing the operational procedure with the specific type of mobile platform being operated. In one embodiment the sub-quantity of information pertains to minima information for performing an aircraft landing approach operation.
