Abstract: A no touch lavatory has a first sensor outside the lavatory that is operable to cause a motor assembly to open the door of the lavatory in response to a person making a motion in close proximity to the first sensor, a second sensor inside the lavatory that causes the motor assembly to close the door and causes a lock to lock the door in response to the second sensor detecting the person entering the lavatory, and a third sensor inside the lavatory that causes the lock to unlock the door and causes the motor assembly to open the door in response to the third sensor detecting a motion made by the person inside the lavatory.

Abstract: A wiping assembly includes a pair of guide elements located at opposite ends of a headland region of a fluid ejection assembly to extend in a second orientation generally perpendicular to a first orientation through which the opposite ends extend. Each guide element includes at least one first portion and a second portion. The at least one first portion selectively receives biased releasable engagement from a non-wiping portion of a wiping element extending along the first orientation to cause a wiping portion of the wiping element to be in generally parallel relation to, and spaced apart from, the headland region. The second portion causes the non-wiping portion to no longer be in biased releasable engagement against the guide element and causes the wiping portion to be biased in wiping relation against the headland region.

Abstract: An expandable wireless storage device is provided that includes an interface slot, internal memory, a wireless interface and an aggregated file system view providing component. An external memory, which stores a first subset of multi-media files, can be physically coupled with the expandable wireless storage device using the interface slot. A second subset of multi-media files can be stored on the internal memory. A multi-media file of the multi-media files can be streamed to a playing device using the wireless interface. The internal memory is used as a buffer when the multi-media file resides on the external memory. An aggregated file system view providing component provides an aggregated file system view of the multi-media files.

Abstract: The process for making silver powder particles with small size crystallites uses a combination of gum arabic and maleic acid with the reduction of a silver salt with ascorbic acid, Silver thick film paste containing these silver powder particles can be used in electronic applications to form electrodes for semiconductor devices and, in particular, solar cells.

Abstract: A method of forming a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) component, a CMC component and a tip member are provided. The method of form the CMC component includes providing a component preform having a first end, a second end, and a cavity, the cavity having a pre-determined shape and a first engagement surface. The method includes forming a tip member from a pre-consolidated composite material, the tip member having a second engagement surface generally conforming to the first engagement surface. The method includes directing the second engagement surface to the first engagement surface. The method includes consolidating the component preform and tip member. The ceramic matrix composite component is formed having a desired geometry and the tip member stays in place in the cavity during operation of the ceramic matrix composite component.

Abstract: An image browsing method, system and computer storage media are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining a user's operation request for an image; comparing the operation request with a preset condition, and determining whether to cache the image into a main cache. When it is required to cache the image into the main cache, further determining whether it is the first time that the image is rendered; if yes, employing a main thread to cache the image into the main cache, to obtain the image from the main cache, and to render the image. Otherwise, employing a main thread to obtain an image adapted to the capacity of the main cache from an image chain, and to render the image; and displaying the image rendered. This avoids unsmooth browsing of the image due to time-consuming creation of the images to be rendered, thereby allowing smooth image browsing.

Abstract: The invention relates to methods and compositions for identifying maize plants that have newly conferred resistance or enhanced resistance to, or are susceptible to, a Fijivirus, particularly Mal de Rio Cuarto Virus (MRCV) and/or Maize Rough Dwarf Virus (MRDV). The methods use molecular genetic markers to identify, select and/or construct resistant plants or identify and counter-select susceptible plants. Maize plants that display newly conferred resistance or enhanced resistance to a Fijivirus that are generated by the methods of the invention are also a feature of the invention.

Abstract: A toner carrier includes a metal core, a barrel formed on an outer circumference of the metal core and including at least an elastic layer, and a coating formed on outer circumferences of both ends of the barrel. The coating has a thickness and a width of an outer circumference of the coating is different from a width of an inner circumference of the coating. The width is from an end surface of the barrel along an axis of the barrel, and the width of the outer circumference is larger than the width of the inner circumference so that the end surface of the coating is reversely inclined.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for reducing accumulation of solid materials when manufacturing a (meth)acrylic acid ester having low biacetyl content (less than 2 ppm) by adding an aromatic diamine under conditions which provide sufficient residence time and thorough mixing to react up to 100% by weight of the biacetyl in the crude (meth)acrylic acid ester stream, prior to separation and purification. A feedback method is also provided for reducing solids accumulation in the separation and purification equipment of such processes by measuring the biacetyl content and adjusting the aromatic diamine addition rate so that excess aromatic diamine can be minimized. A third embodiment provides a method for reversing an accumulation of solid materials during such processes, while still producing a (meth)acrylic acid ester having low biacetyl content (less than 2 ppm), by reducing or ceasing the addition rate of aromatic diamine for a period of time.

The information is provided to an automated underwriting program that evaluates and rates the insurable risk and produces a binding insurance quote. Certain embodiments of the system and method utilize an automated application form and information gathering apparatus to collect the self-reported information. Objective information is obtained by a variety of means, including the direct measurement of certain physical and medical parameters. Certain embodiments may provide for the collection of information relating to payment for the insurance product, and the obtaining of an electronic signature from an applicant.

The first fin structure is formed by a first semiconductor material layer as a lower portion, a semiconductor oxide layer as a middle portion and a second semiconductor material layer as an upper portion. The semiconductor device also includes a second fin structure in S/D regions in the N-FET region. The second fin structure is formed by the first semiconductor material layer as a lower portion and the semiconductor oxide layer as a first middle portion, the first semiconductor material layer as a second middle portion beside the first middle and the second semiconductor material layer as an upper portion.

The switch is coupled between the at least one NMOS device and a ground. A drain of the switch is coupled to a deep N-well of the switch. The at least one capacitor is arranged to store electrical charges. The charge pump stage is configured to supply the electrical charges to the second node. The DNW is coupled to the ground for a negative pump operation.

Abstract: A method, device, and system for detecting a fault for a protective device. The device can receive an input signal and detect a power spike in the input signal. If a power spike is detected in the input signal, the device simultaneously disables the trip mechanism for one or more protective devices and starts a time period. During the remainder of the time period, the device compares the input signal and the threshold value. If, during the remainder of the time period, the input signal exceeds the threshold value, and if the fault originates within a region between the multiple sensing devices, then the trip mechanism for each protective device is again enabled.
