    Abstract: An assembly includes a flexible wall, that can at least partially define a spring chamber for containing pressurized gas. The flexible wall can include at least one mounting bead formed along an end thereof. A compression core can be disposed along the exterior of the flexible wall in abutting engagement with the mounting bead. The compression core can be captured between the mounting bead and a portion of the flexible wall such that inflation of the spring chamber biases the flexible wall, mounting bead and compression core outward and into engagement with an end member to form a gas spring assembly. A suspension system and a method of assembly are also included.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring fouling in a gas turbine compressor include a conductivity resistance sensor disposed in a compressor inlet mouth. The degree of compressor fouling is correlated to changes in resistance measured by the conductivity resistance sensor.     Abstract: Methods are provided for predicting the properties of an asphalt fraction that contains two or more asphalt components based on measurements of the viscosity for the asphalt fraction. Based on the measured viscosity, a virtual cut point is determined for a virtual asphalt blend that has the same viscosity (to within a tolerance value) as the measured viscosity for the asphalt fraction. The virtual cut point is then used to determine a variety of predicted property values for the asphalt fraction. Optionally, the predicted property values can be used to adjust the actual cut point for the distillation or separation process used for forming the asphalt fraction.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing CO2 sorption and regeneration processes that can take advantage of phase changes between solutions of amine-CO2 reaction products and precipitate slurries, where the slurry particles can include solid precipitates formed based on the amine-CO2 reaction products. An amine solution can be used to capture CO2 from a gas phase stream. During this initial capture process, the amine-CO2 reaction product can remain in solution. The solution containing the amine-CO2 reaction product can then be exposed to a set of conditions which result in precipitation of a portion of the amine-CO2 reaction product to form a slurry. The precipitate slurry can be passed into one or more release stages where the conditions for the slurry are altered to allow for release of the CO2.

    Abstract: Provided is a lighting ballast system and method for fluorescent lamps. The system and method utilize a lamp current control loop to control the light level of a fluorescent lamp. The ballast includes an open loop detector that recognizes an open current control loop as an indication of a fault or hazard condition, and causes the ballast to output a safe lamp voltage or no voltage. The fault or hazard condition may be, for example, a very high voltage at the lamp or very low current across the lamp. The ballast also includes a disable circuit that prevents the open loop detector from triggering at times when the loop is expected to be open such as during ignition and maintenance restarting of the lamp.
