  • Patent number: 11809282
Abstract: A deduplication pipeline method to enable shorter overall latency, servicing of multiple calls in parallel, and implementing higher data compression ratio. The method includes receiving user data for storage, performing deduplication operation on the data to obtain non-duplicative data, buffering the non-duplicative data in persistent memory, and accepting next user data for deduplication processing. In parallel to receiving the next user data, operating a co-processor to asynchronously compressing the data stored in the persistent memory and storing the compressed data in RAID.

  • Patent number: 11808452
Abstract: Provided are embodiments of a gas valve for an intermittent pilot ignition system. The gas valve includes features designed to address the buildup of negative pressure in a fuel line connected to the gas valve that could cause internal valve diaphragms to open, drawing fuel from the gas valve. In embodiments, the gas valve includes a system of check valves designed to seal off the gas valve when a negative pressure develops. In other embodiments, the gas valve includes a relief valve having a relief port so that air is able to enter the valve proximate to the inlet port so as to avoid building a negative pressure sufficient to open the diaphragms. In both cases, the valve remains primed with fuel for subsequent ignition. The gas valve is envisioned to be useful for a variety of pilot operated systems.

  • Patent number: 11808121
Abstract: A controlled rate of propagation of the fluid saturation front or thermal front is desired in may oil and gas and geothermal operations. Natural fractures and fractures created during hydraulic stimulation may have heterogeneous hydraulic properties resulting in uneven flow distributions, therefore leading to short-circuiting and breakthrough issues. The present invention relates to wellbores connected hydraulically by multiple fracture zones; methods are directed to control for even flow distribution among fractures, regardless of heterogeneities in fracture hydraulic properties, and to control propagation of saturation fronts and thermal fronts in subsurface reservoirs.

  • Patent number: 11812005
Abstract: A method for reproducing an out-of-gamut spot color includes determining a color gamut for a color printer, and specifying a spot color by color coordinates in a three-dimensional color space. A first target color is determined corresponding to a color having a minimum color difference to the specified spot color, and a second target color is determined corresponding to a color on the color gamut surface having a hue value equal to a hue value of the specified spot color. A path is defined on the color gamut surface connecting the first target color and the second target color, wherein a control parameter is used to specify a relative position along the defined path. A user interface is provided enabling a user to adjust the control parameter to specify an aim color.

  • Patent number: 11809166
Abstract: A method and system for compensating for stiction of a control valve in a pneumatically controlled valve system. A digital twin model of the pneumatically controlled valve system is generated. A current segment of data signals is received from a process measurement device connected to the pneumatically controlled valve system. Operation of the pneumatically controlled valve system is monitored by comparing the current segment to the digital twin model. Stiction is detected when the digital twin model directly detects stiction or when the nonlinearity and Gaussian index are above a certain threshold. A severity of the stiction is determined. Instructions for a stiction control device are used to generate control signals to be applied to the actuator to compensate for the severity of the stiction. Further, the digital twin model is displayed with a representation of the severity of the stiction.

  • Patent number: 11806889
Abstract: A perforating apparatus and method includes a longitudinal cylinder axis about which a cylinder rotates. At least one shaped anvil bead is disposed on the cylinder. The cylinder including an anvil block and an anvil bead form a cavity. The cavity may be used to control the debris produced during the perforating process. A blade is disposed on a support to cooperate in contacting relationship with the anvil bead. A web is perforated as the web passes between the rotating cylinder and the support and the blade operatively engages with the anvil bead. The debris may be controlled by being drawn into the cavity prior to the point where the blade engages the anvil and, subsequently, being expelled after the point where the blade engages the anvil bead.

  • Patent number: 11808411
Abstract: An apparatus and method of storing and transporting, in a dual-use cryogenic storage tank, a cryogenic liquid having a liquefaction temperature. A first pump empties the tank of a first portion of the cryogenic liquid, thereby leaving a second portion of the cryogenic liquid in the cryogenic storage tank. A second portion of the cryogenic liquid is focused at a location on a bottom of the cryogenic storage tank. Using a second pump located at the location, the cryogenic storage tank is emptied of the second portion of the cryogenic liquid, whereby a residual portion of the cryogenic liquid is left therein. Using a focused heating structure, heat may be delivered to the location to raise the temperature of the residual portion above the liquefaction temperature, thereby vaporizing all of the residual portion.

  • Patent number: 11807251
Abstract: An exemplary method generally involves determining a hazard parameter for a tracked vehicle including a ground interface assembly. The ground interface assembly generally includes a track and a drive wheel operable to move the track to thereby propel the tracked vehicle. A load sensor senses a load carried by the tracked vehicle, and a speed sensor senses a vehicle speed of the tracked vehicle. A control system in communication with the load sensor, the speed sensor, and a temperature sensor determines the hazard parameter based upon the load, the vehicle speed, and an ambient temperature in a vicinity of the tracked vehicle. The control system compares the hazard parameter to a threshold parameter, and performs an action based upon the comparison.

  • Patent number: 11810936
Abstract: A pixel array may include air gap reflection structures under a photodiode of a pixel sensor to reflect photons that would otherwise partially refract or scatter through a bottom surface of a photodiode. The air gap reflection structures may reflect photons upward toward the photodiode so that the photons may be absorbed by the photodiode. This may increase the quantity of photons absorbed by the photodiode, which may increase the quantum efficiency of the pixel sensor and the pixel array.
