  • Patent number: 6769764
Abstract: A rejuvenation station has a housing with a first area adapted to hold a fluid supply, and a second area adapted to hold a printer cartridge. In the first area is a first fluidic interconnect that is adapted to couple with the fluid supply. In the second area is a second fluidic interconnect that is adapted to couple with the printer cartridge. A fluid path in the housing couples the fluidic interconnects. An actuator extracts fluid from at least one of the fluid supply and the printer cartridge, and inserts fluid into the printer cartridge through the fluid path.

  • Patent number: 6769548
Abstract: A packing structure supports an article in a carton, especially a generally trapezoidal vehicle windshield, to be shipped in a corrugated craft carton. The article (possibly a windshield) is suspended by spacers, preferably made of integral die cut and folded blanks, that form resilient cradles along the elongated edge of the article. The carton can be rectilinear, having at each end two spaced side walls coupled by an end wall, generally forming an internal channel portion of the carton, with corners at junctions of the end wall and the side walls. A spacer is arranged to fit into this channel, so as to bear against the sidewalls and the end wall. The spacer defines an elongated substantially V-shaped fold between two V-wall panels. The edge of the article rests in a bottom of the V-shaped fold. The spacer also has two bearing legs that can be coextensive with the V-wall panels. These legs stand in the corners of the internal channel of the carton.

  • Patent number: 6772386
Abstract: With two consecutive product-coded ECC blocks, EB1 and EB2, as a set, the rth row of first ECB block EB1 is followed by the rth row of second ECC block EB2 in such a way that the first row of first ECC block EB1 is followed by the first row of second ECB block EB2, which is followed by the second row of first ECC block ECB1, which is followed by the second row of second ECC block EB2, and so on, to interleave data on a row basis. That is, data of two ECC blocks, EB1 and EB2, is allocated alternately on a row basis. This allocation method allows an error to be distributed after reproduction even when a serious burst error extending 18 rows occurs in an ECC block.

  • Patent number: 6771504
Abstract: A heat transporting electrical assemblage retained in a retaining unit transports heat between a heat sink and a thermal transport element in fluid communications with the heat sink. The thermal transport element is snugly arranged in a thermal gap between a coplanar thermal wall formed by a wall of both the heat sink and the electrical assemblage. Thermal transport element makes at least partial contact with a portion of the coplanar thermal wall and with a portion of the retaining unit thereby transporting heat from the hotter thermal wall to the cooler frame of the retaining unit.

  • Patent number: 6770609
Abstract: Visible light reflecting particles comprise one or more detergent ingredients and a light reflecting component, which results in the particle having a specular visible light reflection which is greater in intensity than the specular visible light reflection of the ingredients per se. Preferably, the reflection is greater than the reflection of sodium citrate dihydrate, as defined herein. The reflecting particle preferably comprises the light reflecting component evenly applied on its surface. The particles are particularly suitable for incorporation into laundry or dish washing compositions, fabric conditioning compositions or hard-surface cleaning compositions.

  • Patent number: 6769291
Abstract: A pressure test cap includes a mounting collar with an outer rib to limit depth of insertion of the cap into a pipe. A closure disc which seals the mounting collar is connected to the collar through an inner rim by a weakened ring. An outer rim section registers with the inner rim so that impacts to the outer rim are transferred to the weakened ring to separate the disc from the collar. The closure disc includes a centrally positioned nipple for connection of a conduit of a pressurized test fluid source. The nipple is closed by a break-away nipple plug. The nipple plug has a centrally located indentation for piercing to bleed trapped air from the system and resealing by a screw.

  • Patent number: 6769831
Abstract: A fastener assembly is provided that permits the quick connection and disconnection of various objects, including stowage bins. The fastener assembly includes a tubular connector for engaging a pin. The tubular connector may define a keyhole having a head end and a slot extending circumferentially from the head end. The head end is sized to receive an end portion of the pin and the slot has a width selected to engage the end portion of the pin. Thus, the end portion of the pin may be inserted through the head end and the tubular connector may then be rotated such that the end portion of the pin is engaged within the slot.

  • Patent number: 6769756
Abstract: A sensor configuration for use in detecting ink droplets ejected from an ink drop generator is provided. The sensor configuration includes a sensing element configured to receive a biasing voltage which creates an electric field from the sensing element to the ink drop generator. The sensor configuration also includes a sensing amplifier coupled to the sensing element, whereby the sensing element in imparted with an electrical stimulus when at least one ink droplet is ejected in the presence of the electric field, and thereafter passes in close proximity to the sensing element without substantially contacting the sensing element. Sensor configurations with a separate electrically biasing element which may or may not contact the ink droplets are also provided. Additionally, a printing mechanism having such sensor configurations and a method of making ink drop detection measurements are also provided.
