Abstract: The present invention provides a method for arranging dimples on a golf ball surface in which the dimples are arranged in a pattern derived from at least one irregular domain generated from a regular or non-regular polyhedron. The method includes choosing control points of a polyhedron, generating an irregular domain based on those control points, packing the irregular domain with dimples, and tessellating the irregular domain to cover the surface of the golf ball. The control points include the center of a polyhedral face, a vertex of the polyhedron, a midpoint or other point on an edge of the polyhedron and others. The method ensures that the symmetry of the underlying polyhedron is preserved while minimizing or eliminating great circles due to parting lines.

The iron-based sintered alloy for sliding member consists of, by mass %, 10 to 30% of Cu, 0.2 to 2.0 % of C, 0.03 to 0.9 % of Mn, 0.36 to 3.65% of S, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities in the overall composition. The iron-based sintered alloy for sliding member exhibits a metallic structure in which copper phases and pores are dispersed in the matrix that includes mainly a martensite structure and sulfide particles are dispersed in the matrix and the copper phases. The sulfide particles are dispersed at 1 to 30 vol. % with respect to the matrix.
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling generation of navigation schema for a Human Machine Interface (HMI) application based on control system models are disclosed. Information regarding processes and assets of a control system is received. A model of the control system is generated from the received information. The model is accessed by the HMI application during runtime to enable generation of navigation schema for the HMI application based on the model.

Abstract: A measuring system includes a first measuring unit which measures an object in front of a moving body in a first measuring area, a second measuring unit which measures the object in a second measuring area, the second measuring area being different from the first measuring area, a determining unit which determines whether a movement of the object satisfies a predetermined condition based on a measuring result of the first measuring unit, and a controller which causes the second measuring unit to start measuring the object in response to an event in which the determining unit determines that the object satisfies the predetermined condition and at least part of the object deviates from the first measuring area.
Abstract: Imidazo[4,5-c] ring compounds, (particularly imidazo[4,5-c]quinolines, 6,7,8,9-tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-c]quinolines, imidazo[4,5-c]naphthyridines, and 6,7,8,9-tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-c]naphthyridine compounds) having a guanidine substituent at the 1-position, pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds, and methods of making the compounds are disclosed. Methods of use of the compounds as immune response modifiers, for inducing cytokine biosynthesis in animals and in the treatment of diseases including viral and neoplastic diseases are also disclosed.
Abstract: The methods improve the separation of hydrocarbon containing fluids. More particularly, the disclosure is relevant to separating fluids having a gas phase, a hydrocarbon liquid phase, and an aqueous liquid phase using indirect heating. In general, the methods use a first three-phase gas separation stop followed by indirect heating and then a second three-phase gas separation step. Pressure reduction of the hydrocarbon containing fluid occurs either before or after the indirect heating.

Abstract: An electronic begin of regulation (EBOR) control system and method is disclosed for a hydraulic motor of a machine having an engine for producing power and a track system for moving. The EBOR system includes a flow source, variable displacement motor, pressure sensor and control unit. The operator sets a pressure setpoint. The flow source generates flow in a loop with the motor. The pressure sensor senses loop working pressure. The control unit adjusts motor displacement based on comparisons between the pressure setpoint and sensed loop working pressure. The flow source can be bidirectional, and different pressure sensors can be used depending on the direction. The pressure setpoint can be varied during operation, and the control unit can adjust the displacement of the motor based on comparisons between the latest pressure setpoint and the loop working pressure sensed by the appropriate pressure sensor.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for cutting material used in fused deposition modeling systems are provided, which comprise a ribbon including one or more perforations. Material is passed through at least one perforation and movement of the ribbon cuts the material. A further embodiment comprises a disk including one or more blade structures, each forming at least one cavity. Material is passed through at least one cavity and a rotational movement of the disk cuts the material. A further embodiment comprises a slider-crank mechanism including a slider coupled to a set of parallel rails of a guide shaft. The slider moves along a length of the rails to cut the material. Yet another embodiment comprises one or more rotatable blade structures coupled to at least one rod. The rotation of the blade structures causes the blade structures to intersect and cut extruded material during each rotation.
