Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for providing electrical power to an electrical system. An automatic transfer switch selectively provides power to the electrical system from one or more power supplies through a plurality of power outlet connectors of the automatic transfer switch. The plurality of power outlet connectors of the automatic transfer switch are selectively electrically connected to the one or more power supplies responsive to a state of health of the one or more power supplies.

Abstract: An X-ray computed-tomography (CT) apparatus of an embodiment includes an X-ray tube, an X-ray detector, and processing circuitry. The X-ray tube is configured to generate an X-ray. Abstract: When electricity is supplied sequentially one by one to coils with a plurality of coil phases provided in a stator of a brushless DC motor, detection is made on a difference of signals corresponding to currents flowing respectively to coils with another plurality of coil phases coupled to the electrically conductive coil phases due to an effect of a magnetic flux of a stopped rotor. A stop position of the rotor with respect to the stator is determined, based on the relationship between a result of the detection operation and a coil phase in association with each other.
Abstract: A system and method for determining volume of a runtime object with a vision system is provided. A plurality of vision sensors are arranged so that the fields of view (FOVs) of the plurality of vision sensors collectively view features associated with volume determination of a runtime object. Each of the displacement sensors generates range images from sequences of analyzed images, each producing a single row of the range image. An ignoring volume is subtracted from the measured range image based upon one or more dividing planes as they appear in the viewing/imaging perspective of each displacement sensor. Negative subtraction results are substantially nulled. The resulting representative range images are used to calculate the volume of a portion of the object, as sectioned by the diving planes. Each volume result is summed/added to derive the overall summed volume of the runtime object.

Abstract: A mobile X-ray imaging apparatus has an angle sensor and a movement calculation circuit that controls the driving of drive wheels based on the turning angle of auxiliary wheels relative to a straight moving direction of the base unit when a fine movement switch instructs movement of the base unit in the fine movement mode. The turning angle of auxiliary wheels is detected by a turning angle sensor and the rotation of the pair of drive wheels is controlled by the movement calculation circuit as the auxiliary wheels turns to the straight moving direction.

Abstract: A Josephson parametric converter is provided. The Josephson parametric converter includes a multi-Josephson junction ring modulator having arrays of N Josephson junctions arranged in a ring configuration with ring nodes inter-dispersed between the arrays. The multi-Josephson junction ring modulator further has a center node inter-connecting the ring nodes. N is an integer having a value greater than one. The Josephson parametric also includes a first and a second resonator formed from lumped-element capacitors that shunt the multi-Josephson junction ring modulator and respectively enable a first and a second mode of the Josephson parametric converter.

Abstract: A gas generator includes an injector that injects a fuel and an oxidizer, and a combustor that mixes and burns the fuel and the oxidizer injected from the injector. The injector includes a plurality of injection elements arranged on a face plate. Each of the injection elements includes unlike-impingement type injection nozzles that inject the fuel and the oxidizer toward a combustion point in front of the face plate, and injection nozzles that inject fuel for dilution to a dilution point DP forward further than the combustion point.
Abstract: The present invention provides a scan driver and a display using the same. The scan driver includes multiple stages of driving units. The driving units are controlled by a start signal, a clock signal and at least one selection signal. The ith stage of the driving unit includes a shift register and a de-multiplexer. The shift register generates a scan signal according to the clock signal and a trigger signal. The de-multiplexer selectively outputs the scan signal to multiple scan lines according to the at least one selection signal. The trigger signal of the 1st stage of the driving unit is the start signal, and the trigger signal of the (i+1)th stage of the driving unit is the scan signal of the ith stage of the driving unit.
Abstract: A centralized and robust threat assessment tool is disclosed to perform comprehensive analysis of previously-stored and subsequent communication data, activity data, and other relevant information relating to inmates within a controlled environment facility. As part of the analysis, the system detects certain keywords and key interactions with the dataset in order to identify particular criminal proclivities of the inmate. Based on the identified proclivities, the system assigns threat scores to inmate that represents a relative likelihood that the inmate will carry out or be drawn to certain threats and/or criminal activities. This analysis provides a predictive tool for assessing an inmate's ability to rehabilitate. Based on the analysis, remedial measures can be taken in order to correct an inmate's trajectory within the controlled environment and increase the likelihood of successful rehabilitation, as well as to prevent potential criminal acts.

Abstract: A wiring harness which is wired between a car body and a sliding door which slides between a closing position and an opening position so as to open and close a doorway in the car body, the wiring harness includes an external member in which one end is supported rotatably about a perpendicular axis relative to the car body and in which the other end is supported rotatably about a perpendicular axis relative to the sliding door. The external member includes bending portions at a sliding door side and at a car body side respectively in a closing state that the sliding door is disposed in the closing position. The bending portions are bent in opposite directions to each other, and a curvature radius of one of the bending portions is smaller than a curvature radius of the other of the bending portions.
