Abstract: An audio processing method may involve receiving output signals from each microphone of a plurality of microphones in an audio environment, the output signals corresponding to a current utterance of a person and determining, based on the output signals, one or more aspects of context information relating to the person, including an estimated current proximity of the person to one or more microphone locations. The method may involve selecting two or more loudspeaker-equipped audio devices based, at least in part, on the one or more aspects of the context information, determining one or more types of audio processing changes to apply to audio data being rendered to loudspeaker feed signals for the audio devices and causing one or more types of audio processing changes to be applied. In some examples, the audio processing changes have the effect of increasing a speech to echo ratio at one or more microphones.

Abstract: A medical system includes a treatment tool provided with an end effector that treats a tissue, an imager capturing an image of the tissue, and a processor. The processor acquires color information of a target tissue from the captured image output from the imager. The target tissue is a portion of the tissue that covers at least a portion of the end effector that has slid into the tissue. The processor estimates a force applied to the target tissue by the end effector from the color information of the target tissue. The processor notifies an operator of a result of the estimation of the force.
Abstract: An image acquisition unit acquires a phase contrast image consisting of a plurality of phases, in which a pixel value of each pixel represents a velocity of fluid, the phase contrast image being acquired by imaging a subject including a structure inside which fluid flows by a phase contrast magnetic resonance method. An identification unit identifies a region of the structure in the phase contrast image on the basis of a maximum value of the velocity of the fluid between corresponding pixels in each of the phases of the phase contrast image.
Abstract: A method for visualizing at least one region of a joint that deviates from a baseline anatomy includes receiving image data associated with a joint of a subject, generating a three-dimensional model of at least a portion of the joint using the image data, identifying at least one region of the joint that deviates from the baseline anatomy by comparing the three-dimensional model to a baseline model, generating a measurement of a characteristic of the joint at one or more predefined locations using the three-dimensional model and a coordinate system, and generating a three-dimensional rendering of the model that includes a visual indication of the at least one region of the three-dimensional model that deviates from the baseline so that the region is visually indicated according to degree of deviation, and a representation of the measurement of the characteristic of the joint that is positioned according to the predefined locations.
