A power supply/demand adjustment system 1 has a store information management server 220 configured to store information relating to power utilization at stores 300, power management servers 310 provided for each of the stores 300 and configured to manage operation of quick chargers 350, or the like, and an operation management server 210. The operation management server 210 receives a demand response, replaces the received demand response with a commit type demand response set for each of the stores 300 by utilizing at least one piece of information stored in the store information management server 220, and transmits the replaced commit type demand response to the power management server 310 of the respective stores 300.

Abstract: A data processing device and a data processing method, which are capable of securing excellent communication quality in data transmission using an LDPC code. In group-wise interleave, an LDPC code in which a code length N is 64800 bits and an encoding rate r is 6/15, 7/15, 8/15, or 9/15 is interleaved in units of bit groups of 360 bits. In group-wise deinterleave, a sequence of the LDPC code that has undergone the group-wise interleave is restored to an original sequence. For example, the present technology can be applied to a technique of performing data transmission using an LDPC code.

Abstract: This invention relates to the production of succinic acid and other chemicals derived from phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) by fermentation with a microorganism in which the fermentation medium contains one or more sugars, and in which one or more of the sugars is imported into the cell by facilitated diffusion. As a specific example, succinic acid is produced from a glucose-containing renewable feedstock through fermentation using a biocatalyst. Examples of such a biocatalyst include microorganisms that have been enhanced in their ability to utilize glucose as a carbon and energy source. The biocatalysts of the present invention are derived from the genetic manipulation of parental strains that were originally constructed with the goal to produce one or more chemicals (for example succinic acid and/or a salt of succinic acid) at a commercial scale using feedstocks that include, for example, glucose, fructose, or sucrose.

Abstract: A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided which works to control an electric motor to start the engine through a belt transmission system. The control apparatus restricts rotation of the electric motor so as to keep a speed of the electric motor below a speed at which the electric motor is capable of producing a maximum torque until a given period of time passes since the electric motor is actuated to start in the motor mode. This enables the electric motor to generate the maximum torque when it is required to crank the engine.

Abstract: An improved conduit apparatus in accordance with the disclosed and claimed concept includes one or more conduits that each enclose therein an electrical conductor that carries a phase of a multi-phase electrical supply. The conduits are connected to the walls of the electrical enclosures with an attachment apparatus that extends between the conduits and the walls of the electrical enclosures. A clamp apparatus retains the electrical conductors in a state of tension within an interior region of the conduits in a position spaced from the walls of the conduits.

A first intention information is mapped to the first style using a first style-intention rule, and a second intention information to the second style using a second style-intention rule. A graph 311 showing detection intensity of measurement light detected by a detector and a captured image 312 by a camera are displayed on one display screen 301 in real time. This configuration eliminates the need to separately provide a display unit for displaying the captured image 312 by the camera, thereby reducing cost. In addition, the actual state of measurement light can satisfactorily be observed during the measurement through the confirmation of the captured image 312 by the camera displayed on one display screen 301 along with the graph 311 in real time.
