  • Patent number: 8203251
Abstract: A stator includes a stator core, a stator coil comprised of a plurality of electric wires, and at least one restraint. Each of the electric wires has a plurality of in-slot portions received in slots of the stator core and a plurality of turn portions that are located outside of the slots to connect the in-slot portions. The restraint is mounted to end parts of the turn portions belonging to a turn portion group of the electric wires to restrain relative radial movement between the turn portions of the turn portion group. All the turn portions of the turn portion group protrude from the same slot of the stator core. The end parts of the turn portions respectively adjoin the in-slot portions of the electric wires received in the same slot of the stator core and align with each other in a radial direction of the stator core.

Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to lifecycle management for business models associated with a business application as well as implementations of the business models. As described herein, a framework is provided in which business models can be built using modeling tools. The framework defines a separation of models from implementations and their relationships. Support is provided for translation of a business model to an implementation automatically and/or manually using development tools. Further embodiments herein define relationships of models to their implementations at various levels of granularity. Relationships can be defined and maintained at various granularity levels of a business application with different addressable granularity of an implemented application. These relationship associations can be used as described herein for tracking and managing changes in an implementation that may affect an associated model and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20120144900
Abstract: A method is described for separating and processing liquid-borne particles within an aliquot thereof following injection into a field flow fractionator. Said fractionation method may be employed also to capture, for subsequent segregation, specific predefined classes of such particles. The unique fractionation method disclosed contains means to control the applied transverse flow at each designated location along the length of said channel. In one embodiment of the method a separate compartment lies below each distinct location and corresponding membrane supporting permeable frit segment of the fractionator, providing the individual means to control the localized flow through the membrane section thereabove. Employment of a corresponding concentric compartment implementation achieves the same type of compartmentalized cross flow when applied to a hollow fiber fractionation means.

  • Publication number: 20120147528
Abstract: A dispersion that contains an intrinsically conductive polythiophene formed via poly(ionic liquid)-mediated polymerization is provided. Without intending to be limited by theory, it is believed that a thiophene monomer can polymerize along the chains of a poly(ionic liquid). In this manner, the poly(ionic liquid) may act as a template for polymerization to provide a particle dispersion that is substantially homogeneous and stable. Such dispersions may be employed in an electrolytic capacitor as a solid electrolyte and/or as a conductive coating that is electrical communication with the electrolyte. Regardless, the dispersion may be more easily and cost effectively formed and incorporated into the structure of the capacitor. Moreover, due to the presence of the ionic liquid, the dispersion is conductive and does not require the addition of conventional dopants, such as polystyrene sulfonic acid.
