Abstract: Identification of media content, such as audio, can be performed through use of watermarking or fingerprinting (aka content signature) technologies. Aspects of these technologies may be combined to advantageous effect. For example, in dealing with the problem of fingerprint errors arising from object distortion, operations known from digital watermarking systems can be employed.

Abstract: System, method and program product for determining a cause of a failure of a communication from a source device to a destination device. A preferred route from the source device to the destination device comprises a series of routers in a forward order. Abstract: At least one embodiment of the inventive technology may be a support apparatus that includes at least two item support rails supported by support legs coupled thereto by pivot coupler apparatus that enable rotatable motion of a coupled support rail about a substantially vertical axis, where at least one of the item support rails is a non-horizontal item support rail, and where a cable passes through at least a portion of one or more of the support rails. Abstract: A network bridge connects a host device, such as digital media player, cell phone or camera, to content sources over a network to permit the host device to transmit or receive digital media. The network bridge includes a network interface module that identifies at least one media source as well as digital media available on the network. A host device interface module receives, from the host device, file system requests in accordance with a protocol, such as a mass storage protocol. In response to the request, a host device protocol interface module on the network bridge translates the file system request to a request for digital media. The network interface module acquires digital media from the media source, and the host device interface module transfers the digital media to the host device in accordance with the interface protocol. The network bridge may connect to one or more services that provide content to the host device. For example, the services may be accessible over the Internet.

Abstract: A method is described for scheduling a plurality of data flows to a plurality of shared channels in a wireless communication system transmitting data packets in time intervals of frames and applying adaptive modulation and coding. The method comprises the steps of determining virtual link adaptation parameters for at least a part of all combinations of data flow and shared channel, based on state information from the respective shared channel, and based on Quality of Service requirements for the respective data flow; calculating potential data rates for said combinations of data flow and shared channel, based on said virtual link adaptation parameters; calculating priority values for said combinations of data flow and shared channel, based on said potential data rates; and selecting, based on the calculated priority values, for at least a part of the shared channels, a data flow for which data is to be transmitted on each of these shared channel during the time interval of one frame.
Abstract: In a formation method of a porous insulating film by supplying at least organosiloxane and an inert gas to a reaction chamber and forming an insulating film by a plasma vapor deposition method, a partial pressure of the organosiloxane in the reaction chamber is changed by varying a volume ratio of the organosiloxane and the inert gas to be supplied during deposition. Thus, the dielectric constant of the insulating film in the semiconductor device is reduced while the adhesion of the insulating film with other materials is improved. It is desirable that the organosiloxane be cyclic organosiloxane including at least silicon, oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen, and that the total pressure of the reaction chamber be constant during deposition.

A translation mechanism is disposed in the housing and engaging the cap and supporting the plug member in the inlet opening, wherein when the heat sensitive trigger releases support of the cap, the translation mechanism is allowed to move within said housing to allow the plug member to dislodge from the inlet opening.

Abstract: A backlight processing system and a method thereof are provided. The gray level values of pixels in an input frame signal are adjusted and the brightness thereof is decreased correspondingly. During gray level value adjustment, the gray level values of the pixels in dark regions are reduced, and the gray level values of the pixels in bright regions are increased. During backlight adjustment, first, statistics information on distribution of the gray level value versus the number of pixels is obtained according to the gray level distribution of the original frame. The number of pixels at each gray level is accumulated. When the accumulation value reaches a certain value, a reference signal is obtained. The brightness of the backlight is then adjusted according to the reference signal.
