Abstract: Molten aluminum is heated in the range of 900° C. to 1300° C. under a nitrogen atmosphere using magnesium as an auxiliary agent to form aluminum nitride directly on the molten aluminum and bond the aluminum nitride to the aluminum so that an Al—AlN composite material is formed. Because aluminum nitride power needs not to be sintered at high temperature equal to or higher than 1900° C., the Al—AlN composite material can be formed at low temperature in the range of 900° C. to 1300° C. compared with the high temperature equal to or higher than 1900° C., and thereby the high-density aluminum nitride can be obtained.

Abstract: A booster device for increasing a voltage at a voltage supply point of a power supply circuit for supplying a driving voltage to an electronic control circuit is provided. The power supply circuit includes a series-connected circuit having a diode, a resistor, and a capacitor which is connected to a DC power supply. One end of the capacitor is connected to a ground and a connection point of the resistor and the capacitor serves as the voltage supply point. The booster device includes a clamp circuit, an oscillation circuit, and a booster circuit that increase a voltage output from the DC power supply. When the voltage at the voltage supply point falls below a predetermined threshold voltage, the booster device supplies the increased voltage at the voltage supply point.

Abstract: What is disclosed is a novel system and method for determining which hole punch die is installed on a multifunction document reproduction device. A document scanner of a document reproduction system is used to scan a sample page that has been hole-punched by the presently installed punch die. The pattern of die holes on the punched test page is examined and compared to known punch die patterns. The method compares the current punch unit with bindings loaded in a hopper for the print/copy job. Information about the currently installed hole punch die is displayed on a graphical user interface so the user can confirm the print/copy job prior to the time of submission. The user can then accept the current hole punch configuration or change the unit to another before releasing their print/copy job. The method ensures that the selected punch pattern is compatible with other print/copy job finishing selections.

Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking user profile influence in a digital media system are provided. One exemplary method includes computing connection weights of connections between a plurality of user nodes, each user node representing a user profile of the digital media system, to thereby generate an influence network. The connection weights may be based on implicit activity notifications received at a media server via a plurality of media clients associated with the user nodes. The method may further include calculating a dynamic influence score for each of the user nodes based on the connection weights between the user nodes in the influence network. The method may further include comparing the dynamic influence scores to an influence score threshold to determine one or more lead user nodes, and sending an influence reward to the media clients associated with the one or more lead user nodes.

Abstract: [Object] To provide a control apparatus, an input apparatus, a control system, a control method, and a handheld apparatus that are capable of preventing a deviation between a display position of a pointer and a relative position of the input apparatus when the input apparatus is moved out of a screen from an end portion of the screen, and with which a user can obtain an intuitional operational feeling. [Solving Means] Not only on a real screen (95) but also on a virtual screen (105) set around the real screen (95), coordinates of a virtual pointer (2?) are generated and stored. Accordingly, by moving an input apparatus (1) only by an amount that the input apparatus has moved outside the real screen (95), in an opposite direction, for example, a user can resume a movement of a pointer (2) that has reached a boundary line of the real screen (95), on the real screen (95).

Abstract: It is possible to provide a radio resource management device, a radio communication base station device, and a radio resource management method which can reduce a reply signal inter-cell interference and suppress decrease of the number of ACK/NACK which can be transmitted. When a plurality of CCE are allocated for PDCCH transmission, among usable CCE, the CCE number used between adjacent cells is differentiated. More specifically, a different RN satisfying RN=(usable CCE number m) mod N is allocated to the adjacent cell. A mobile station performs ACK/NACK transmission by using a PUCCH resource corresponding to the CCE number which becomes the allocated RN.
