Abstract: A server registering a first party as a party relying upon a second party's certificate, revoking the second party's certificate after registering the first party, and initiating communication with the first party to indicate that the second party's certificate has been revoked.
Abstract: Structure and methods of fabrication are disclosed for an enhanced FET devices in which dopant impurities are prevented from diffusing through the gate insulator. The structure comprises a Si:C, or SiGe:C, layer which is sandwiched between the gate insulator and a layer which is doped with impurities in order to provide a preselected workfunction. It is further disclosed how this, and further improvements for FET devices, such as raised source/drain and multifaceted gate on insulator, MODFET on insulator are integrated with strained Si based layer on insulator technology.

Abstract: Windage is the sum of multifarious airflows induced and endured inside a disk drive. The invention provides a disk drive suspension and method for use in windage conditions within a disk drive. The suspension has a base portion carrying a hinge portion that carries a beam portion having oppositely facing first and second surfaces. The second surface supports a flexible circuit. Where the beam portion first surface has surface features inducing tracking error-causing perturbations of the beam portion from windage contact with the features, an airfoil profile-defining deflector is provided in operative association with the beam portion to block windage contact with those features and eliminate track misregistration error caused by interaction of the windage and the features.
Abstract: An apparatus, program product and method utilize a displayed pictorial representation that depicts the actual physical configuration of a plurality of hardware components in a physical computer system to facilitate the collective management of the underlying hardware components. Typically, within such a pictorial representation, a selected status is displayed for multiple of such hardware components, thereby permitting hardware components sharing common attributes or characteristics to be identified in an efficient and intuitive manner, as well as to permit collective management operations to be performed on all selected hardware components in addition, a pictorial representation may be dynamically generated to represent the physical configuration of a plurality of hardware components within a plurality of computers. In connection with such dynamic generation, the plurality of computers may be accessed to identify the plurality of hardware components that are resident in such computers.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing test time for loading and executing an architecture verification program for a system-on-a-chip (SoC) are provided. The mechanisms of the illustrative embodiments reorganize the scan chains of the SoC and provide an algorithm for organizing and pipelining architectural verification program (AVP) data for scanning into the reorganized scan chains. The scan chains are reorganized so as to align the scan cells for memory array data for each memory array across a plurality of scan chains. The scan chains are further reorganized so that each scan chain has unique AVP data, i.e. no scan chain has more than one memory array's information. The pipelining algorithm bundles data according to the length of the scan chain, the maximum size of the memory array data, and the position of the memory array's scan cells in the scan chains.

Abstract: A console-based multi-user authentication process allows multiple users of a game console to be authenticated together in a single request/reply exchange with an authentication entity. The results of which is the possession of a single ticket that can be used to prove authenticity of multiple authentication principals to one or more online services. Also described is a handshake process that can be used to initially establish an authentication account for each game console, in which the account creation server can trust that a genuine game console is making the request.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for forming a three-dimensional image and, more particularly, for making three-dimensional digital image transfer thermoformed objects on, e.g., generic molds. The method includes manipulating digital images of a subject into a single image; printing the single image onto a media; and thermoforming the media with the single image using a generic mold. The system comprises a computer infrastructure operable to: receive images of a subject; display the images; stitch together the images to form a single image; adjust portions of the images or single image to compensate for deformation during thermoforming of the single image; register the single image with points on a mold; and print the single image.

Abstract: A first variable resistor (5) is connected between a first terminal (7) and a third terminal (9) and increases/reduces its resistance value in accordance with the polarity of a pulse voltage applied between the first terminal (7) and the third terminal (9). A second variable resistor (6) is connected between the third terminal (9) and a second terminal (8) and increases/reduces its resistance value in accordance with the polarity of a pulse voltage applied between the third terminal (9) and the second terminal (8). Given pulse voltages are applied between the first terminal (7) and the third terminal (9) and between the third terminal (9) and the second terminal (8) to reversibly change the resistance values of the first and second variable resistors (5, 6), thereby recording one bit or multiple bits of information.
