  • Patent number: 7299548
Abstract: Sealing material is injected into a cap receiving an electric cable joint without remaining air bubbles. The cap has an opening at both ends and receives the joint, the electric cable being in the upper side and the joint being in the lower side. The sealing material is injected into the cap from the lower opening. The joint is inserted into the cap from the upper opening. Or, the joint is received in the cap, the sealing material is injected into the cap from the upper opening, and the cap position is reversed. Or, the sealing material is injected into the cap, from the upper opening, the joint is inserted into the cap, and the cap is reversed. • Patent number: 7300869
Abstract: An integrated barrier and seed layer that is useful for creating conductive pathways in semiconductor devices. The barrier portion of the integrated layer prevents diffusion of the conductive material into the underlying dielectric substrate while the seed portion provides an appropriate foundation upon which to deposit the conductive material. The barrier portion of the integrated layer is formed of a metal nitride, while the seed portion is formed of ruthenium or a ruthenium alloy. The metal nitride forms an effective barrier layer while the ruthenium or ruthenium alloy forms an effective seed layer for a metal such as copper. In some embodiments, the integrated layer is formed in a way so that its composition changes gradually from one region to the next.

  • Patent number: 7302368
Abstract: This invention relates to the forming of a construction, where structural models representing structural members and the models of the loads describing real loads are used. The models of the loads are situated in the same space with the structural models of the construction. For each model of load, an influence space is defined. The effect of the model of the load is focused on the structural members at least partly inside the influence space of the model of the load.

  • Patent number: 7301478
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, system and devices for monitoring road surface temperature to detect hazardous road surface conditions. An indicator provides the sensed road surface temperature and hazardous road condition warning to a driver while a tail light interface automatically produce a tail light signal to warn drivers traveling behind the vehicle when a hazardous condition is detected. In an embodiment, the system includes a vehicle engine retardation system interfaced with the hazardous road condition warning system. When the retardation system is in use and hazardous road surface conditions are detected the controller automatically produces the brake light signal unless a tail light control switch is used to manually deactivating the automatic tail light flashing signal when the vehicle is traveling in a state that does not allow alternative control of the brake lights.

  • Patent number: 7302491
Abstract: A system and method of reducing data corruption due to recycled Internet Protocol (IP) identification numbers are provided. When IP packets are being fragmented and the IP identification number of the packets is cycling through a specific group of numbers, the size of the first fragment of a packet is decremented each time the IP identification cycles through the numbers. Initially, the size of the first fragment of a packet will be set to a maximum number. This size will be decremented at each pass of the IP identification through the numbers until the size of the first fragment of a packet reaches a pre-defined minimum size. When that occurs, the size of the first fragment of a packet will again be set to the maximum number. By decrementing the size of the first fragment, fragment offset of the other fragments that make up the packet will be changing. This then reduces the likelihood of having two fragments having the same IP identification number be mistaken as being from the same packet.

  • Patent number: 7296899
Abstract: A projector includes a lamp, a ballast, a micro controller unit and an optical engine. The lamp emits a light ray. The ballast starts the lamp and selectively outputs an operating power and a blanking power to the lamp. The micro controller unit controls the ballast. The optical engine receives the light ray and outputs a projecting image to a screen outside the projector. When the projector enters a blanking mode from a normal operating mode, the micro controller unit outputs a control signal to the ballast, and the power supplied from the ballast to the lamp is changed from the operating power to the blanking power.

  • Patent number: 7299287
Abstract: A secure network outlet for supporting IP device address assigning functionality. A network access request is received from an electronic device communicatively coupled to intelligent hardware. In one embodiment, a device address request is transmitted to a network server. A first device address is received at the intelligent hardware from the network server. The intelligent hardware then assigns a second device address to the electronic device. In another embodiment, the intelligent hardware has a pre-assigned first device address and assigns a second device address to the electronic device, such that the intelligent hardware eliminates the need for a separate device address assigning server. The present invention reduces the consumption of global device addresses within a network, and also provides protection to electronic devices by hiding their device addresses from the external network.
