  • Patent number: 7210515
Abstract: An automated matchplate molding machine includes a cope flask, a pattern plate and a drag flask for creating formed sand molds. A lock is provided to lock the drag flask to the platen table of the molding machine during desired stages of an individual sand molding sequence. The lock between the drag flask and the platen table may include actuated pins which engage corresponding detent structures such as tapered holes integral with the drag flask and prevent lateral migration of the drag flask relative to the platen table. Additionally, cope flask actuators are provided which vertically support and are operable to raise the cope flask relative to the squeeze head to facilitate release the cope mold from the cope flask.

  • Patent number: 7212944
Abstract: A MEM inertial sensor (e.g. accelerometer, gyroscope) having integral rotational means for providing static and dynamic bias compensation is disclosed. A bias compensated MEM inertial sensor is described comprising a MEM inertial sense element disposed on a rotatable MEM stage. A MEM actuator drives the rotation of the stage between at least two predetermined rotational positions. Measuring and comparing the output of the MEM inertial sensor in the at least two rotational positions allows for both static and dynamic bias compensation in inertial calculations based on the sensor's output. An inertial measurement unit (IMU) comprising a plurality of independently rotatable MEM inertial sensors and methods for making bias compensated inertial measurements are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7212445
Abstract: A method for reducing source line bias is accomplished by read/write circuits with features and techniques for multi-pass sensing. When a page of memory cells are being sensed in parallel, each pass helps to identify and shut down the memory cells with conduction current higher than a given demarcation current value. In particular, the identified memory cells are shut down after all sensing in the current pass have been completed. In this way the shutting down operation does not disturb the sensing operation. Sensing in subsequent passes will be less affected by source line bias since the total amount of current flow is significantly reduced by eliminating contributions from the higher current cells. In another aspect of sensing improvement, a reference sense amplifier is employed to control multiple sense amplifiers to reduce their dependence on power supply and environmental variations.

  • Patent number: 7212599
Abstract: The present invention is for an apparatus that receives input data at a non-uniform first data rate carried by a system clock, and provides output data at a substantially uniform second data rate that is nominally equal to the first data rate and is also carried by the system clock. The system clock is faster than the first or second data rates and accordingly, a write enable signal controls the input data that is written into a saturating elastic store and a read enable signal controls the reading and output of data from the saturating elastic store. The saturating elastic store includes a plurality of storage locations and provides a storage fill level indicative of the amount of storage locations currently holding data. A digital filter receives the storage fill level and filters the storage fill level to provide a control word to a digitally controlled read enable signal generator.

  • Patent number: 7208983
Abstract: By flexibly coping with both image sensors of a CCD sensor and a CMOS sensor without providing any external circuit, a signal processing is performed. In a sensor selecting switch provided in an image-sensor signal-processing circuit, first and fourth switches are turned on when the CMOS sensor is connected, and second and third switches are turned on when the CCD sensor is connected. The sensor selecting switch is controlled by a control signal generated in a control circuit, based on sensor selection data which is stored in a register and which is data for selecting the CCD or CMOS sensor. By so doing, even if polarity of an output signal of the image sensor is reversed, a normal signal is inputted to both inputs of the CDS amplifier, whereby it is possible to flexibly cope with both of the CCD and CMOS sensors.
