  • Patent number: 5946262
Abstract: A memory having a SRAM, a DRAM and two external IO ports is provided. The SRAM has three IO ports for enabling the external IO ports and the DRAM to access each and every memory cell in the DRAM. Each SRAM cell is provided with two IO ports coupled to the external IO ports, and with an IO port for transferring data to and from the DRAM. The triple-port SRAM cell comprises three input data lines coupled to a latching circuit for writing data supplied from the external IO ports and the DRAM, and three output data lines coupled to the latching system for reading stored data to the external IO ports and the DRAM. Three write address lines and three read address lines provide addressing of the SRAM cell for data writing and reading operations performed by the external IO ports and the DRAM. Each SRAM cell may be read concurrently via all three ports to make the most current data stored in the SRAM accessible from any port at any time.

  • Patent number: 5943848
Abstract: A disc mower conditioner utilizing a modular disc cutterbar to sever standing crop material by impact action supports the cutterbar from the header of the mower conditioner by a pair of transversely spaced support arms mounted by spherical bushings to the header to allow flexing of the support arms as induced by the cutterbar. The mounting of the spherical bushings utilize conical washers engagable with conical sockets in spacers to limit vertical movement of the spacer relative to the header when the corresponding support arm flexes. The mower conditioner header further includes an optional viney crop guide that has a curved leading edge that directs viney crop downwardly into engagement with the adjacent disc cutter. The viney crop guide is also bent inwardly to contain and control the flow of crop material.

  • Patent number: 5942776
Abstract: A method of forming a FEM cell semi-conductor structure includes forming a device area for the ferroelectric memory (FEM) gate unit on a silicon substrate. Appropriate impurities are implanted into the device area to form conductive channels, for use as a source junction region, a gate junction region and a drain junction region. A FEM cell includes a FEM gate unit formed on the substrate. A gate junction region is formed between the source junction region and the drain junction region for the FEM gate unit on the FEM gate unit device area, which FEM gate unit includes a lower metal layer, a ferroelectric (FE) layer, and an upper metal layer. A shallow junction layer is formed between the FEM gate unit and the gate junction region, as another conductive channel. The FEM gate unit is spaced apart from the source region and the drain region, as is the conductive channel between the FEM gate unit and the gate junction region.

  • Patent number: 5937612
Abstract: In a method for installing tiles on a substrate, tiles, having a first surface and a second, machinable surface, are arranged in installed locations on the substrate with the second, machinable surface facing away from the substrate. The machinable surfaces are then machined to reduce tile-to-tile irregularities and adjust for the variations in the subfloor, and the tiles are turned over so that the first surfaces face away from the substrate. A decorative flooring unit is also provided having a tile with a shim layer on its underside, an edge member surrounding the tile and a substrate extending beneath the edge member and the tile. The tile is installed within the edge member with the shim layer facing away from the substrate. The tile may be reversed after sanding the edge member and shim layer.

  • Patent number: 5937746
Abstract: An agricultural baler having a main frame, a stuffer for loading successive charges of crop material into a baling chamber installed on the frame and a plunger for compressing the charges into packages of crop material. When the package has reached a predetermined length, a trip mechanism actuates a tying mechanism to tie a series of strands around the package to form a finished bale. The drive line to the tying mechanism comprises a dog clutch assembly including a continuously rotated hub and a dog lever positioned for possible engagement of a cam lobe on the inner surface of the hub. In between tying cycles a lever of the trip mechanism keeps the dog lever away from the hub surface. A timing cam cooperating with a roller on the lever precludes the actuation of the dog clutch when the cam lobe passes in the vicinity of the dog lever.

  • Patent number: 5940738
Abstract: An architecture for distributing digital information to subscriber units wherein selection from among multiple digital services is accomplished by transmitting a tuning command from a subscriber unit to an intermediate interface. The intermediate interface selects the desired service from a broadband network and transmits it to the subscriber unit over a bandwidth-constrained access line. The bandwidth-constrained access line may be implemented with existing infrastructure, yet the subscriber unit may access a wide variety of digital information available on the broadband network. Universal broadband access is thus provided at low cost. Output bandwidth of broadcast equipment may also be optimized.
