  • Patent number: 10076488
Abstract: The present invention relates to a long-lasting powder essence composition with improved coloring and skin feeling and its preparation method. The powder essence composition is a high-fitting coloring powder not likely to smear or wear off. The composition turns into liquid the moment it is rubbed on the skin to offer a natural color tone like water color, keeps the color clear without getting cakey even when it is reapplied multiple times, and delivers a clearer color as it glides on the skin to break powder and water particles. The powder essence composition according to the present invention is also a powder emulsion, which makes the skin feel light and hydrated rather than sticky or stuffy when applied to the skin and stays long due to its water-resistant function. In addition, the powder essence composition according to the present invention contains different functional moisturizing agents to provide plenty of nourishment when applied to the skin.

  • Patent number: 8499581
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conditioning imported liquefied natural gas to conform to a particular pipeline heating value specification and recovery of liquefied petroleum gas or natural gas liquids from liquefied natural gas are disclosed. An input stream containing liquefied natural gas is split into a direct stream and a bypass stream. The direct stream is heated in a cross-exchanger to produce a heated rich liquefied natural gas stream, which is split into a primary column feed and a secondary column feed. At least a major portion of the secondary column feed is vaporized to produce a vaporized secondary column feed, which is expanded in an expander to produce a vaporized and expanded secondary column feed. A top feed, the primary column feed, and the vaporized and expanded secondary column feed are fractionated to produce an overhead product stream and a bottom product stream. The overhead product stream is compressed in a compressor coupled to the expander.

  • Patent number: 8470078
Abstract: A process and system for removing tars from synthesis gas uses glycerol produced as a byproduct of biodiesel manufacture. The biodiesel may be made from various oil feedstocks such as canola, rapeseed, or soybean oils. Associated with the harvesting of these crops may be the ready availability of byproduct biomass useful as feedstock for gasification. In addition, methanol may be sourced from the gasification of biomass to exploit a potential synergy between biodiesel manufacture and biomass gasification. The present invention develops those synergies further by making use of a byproduct stream from the manufacture of biodiesel to remove tars from the gasifier synthesis gas and to provide a useful end use for the byproduct.

  • Publication number: 20100080833
Abstract: A stable oil-in-water emulsion, a process for the preparing such emulsion, and a formulation process employing the emulsion. The stable oil-in-water emulsion is obtained from an air-in-water preemulsion to which a simple or complex fatty substance is added by moderate mixing, preferably without exerting a shear force. The air-in-water preemulsion includes a surfactant, preferably a nonionic surfactant, a co surfactant chosen from hydrophilic compounds, preferably having at least one hydroxyl group, which are chosen in particular from the family of the polyols, and an aqueous phase. The ratios of these three components of the preemulsion are chosen within the region of ordered liquid crystal structure of the phase diagram of these three components and/or in ratios chosen so that the structure of the mixture of these three components, observed under a microscope in polarized light, exhibits birefringence characteristics.

  • Patent number: 7645804
Abstract: A stable complex oil-in-water emulsion which is useful in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical or food fields. The stable complex oil-in-water emulsion is formed by the mixing of individual oil-in-water emulsions, each individual emulsion being obtained from an air/water pre-emulsion of a preferably-nonionic surfactant; a cosurfactant selected from hydrophilic compounds, preferably with at least one hydroxyl group selected from polyols; and an aqueous phase. A method of preparing a stable complex oil-in-water emulsion whereby individual oil-in-water emulsions, chosen for properties desired in the stable complex oil-in-water emulsion, are optionally diluted and mixed without exerting a shear force.

  • Publication number: 20060270743
Abstract: The invention relates to a stable oil-in-water emulsion which is obtained from an air/water pre-emulsion containing: a preferably-nonionic surfactant; a cosurfactant selected from hydrophilic compounds, preferably comprising at least one hydroxyl group, which are chosen, for example, from the polyol family; and an aqueous phase. According to the invention, the aforementioned three elements are used in ratios that are selected from the ordered liquid crystal structure zone of the phase diagram of said three elements and/or in ratios that arc selected such that the structure of the mixture of said three components when observed under a microscope in polarised light displays birefringence characteristics. Moreover, a simple or complex fatty substance is added to the above-mentioned pre-emulsion by means of mild stirring, preferably without exerting a shear force. The invention also relates to the method of preparing such emulsions and to a simple formulation method making use of said emulsions.

  • Patent number: 6059376
Abstract: A universal mount for tire rims includes a plurality of clips mounted peripherally of a wheel cover. A first type of clip consists of a clip member mounted in a clip housing guided in linear movements on a shaft and having a distal end with an arcuate termination designed to fit over a peripheral surface on a wheel. The proximal end of the clip member has an undulating portion with each horizontal surface having a hole, the holes being aligned with one another so that a guide shaft may extend through the holes to guide the clip member in vertical movements. Also mounted on the shaft are two coil springs, one mounted above the proximal end of the clip member, and one mounted below the proximal end of the clip member. In a second type of clip, the shaft is threaded and holes in the proximal undulating portion of the clip member are threaded and receive the threaded shaft. In this way, the threaded shaft prevents free vertical movements of the clip member.
