Abstract: A shock absorbing device for a rack and pinion type steering device includes a rack shaft, a rack housing, a stopper portion formed in an end part of the rack shaft, a stopper engaging portion provided on the rack housing to define a stroke end position for the rack shaft by engaging the stopper portion, a stepped portion formed on the rack shaft, a shoulder portion formed in an enlarged diameter portion of the rack housing, and a cylindrical elastic member fitted on the rack shaft such that the elastic member is pressed in the axial direction of the rack shaft by the stepped portion and the shoulder portion. The elastic member is formed with grooves on each of an outer circumferential surface and an inner circumferential surface thereof. Such shock absorbing device for a rack and pinion type steering device has a high shock absorbing capability.

The method includes: monitoring an input status of a signal light; when no signal light is input, controlling output power of a pump light so that a gain medium has output optical power and the output optical power is less than a maximum optical power that the gain medium is capable of outputting when a signal light is input; inputting the pump light into a wavelength division multiplexer so that the wavelength division multiplexer combines the signal light and the pump light and inputs the combined light into the gain medium. With the preceding manners, when no signal light is input, the power of the pump light is controlled.

Abstract: The disclosed technology provides a manufacturing method of a target comprising obtaining an initial mass and a residual mass of the target sample, and calculating an etching mass; determining a relative etching depth of the target sample; calculating a relative etching mass based on the etching mass and the relative etching depth; determining a utilization parameter of the target sample based on the relative etching mass and the initial mass of the target sample before being used; and performing a simulation and optimization process on the utilization parameter of the target sample, obtaining target parameters corresponding to a preset value of the utilization parameter, and outputting the target parameters to a manufacturing control center for manufacturing a target. The disclosed technology also provides a manufacturing system of a target.

Abstract: A vehicle bearing grease applicator and method for applying a predetermined amount of grease to vehicle wheel bearings includes a hand-holdable bearing grease applicator having a hand-holdable body with a rigid flange disposed at one end and a resilient applicator flange secured to the hand-holdable body in spaced apart relation from the rigid flange. The resilient applicator flange defines an annular concavity facing in a direction opposite the rigid flange. Grease is packed in the annular concavity defined by the applicator flange. The hand-holdable body is held and manipulated so as to align the grease packed annular concavity with a vehicle annular wheel bearing. A force is applied on the hand-holdable body to force the annular flange with the annular concavity toward the vehicle annular wheel bearing thereby applying the grease held by the applicator flange onto the vehicle annular wheel bearing.

Abstract: A luminance correction system for organic light emitting display devices is disclosed. In one aspect, an image displayed in a pixel unit of each of the display devices is analyzed and the luminance and color coordinate for main gray-level data is measured. A main-gamma offset value corresponding to the result of image analysis may be generated. A change in voltage of a driving power signal input from an external source of each of the display devices may be sensed. A sub-gamma offset value is generated by applying the change in voltage of the sensed driving power signal. A main-gamma voltage for the main gray level corresponding to the set main-gamma offset value and the set sub-gamma offset value is adjusted and output as an adjusted main-gamma voltage. The adjusted main-gamma voltage may be applied to a data driver of each of the display devices.

The system includes a fire detector, a system control center, a plurality of alarm information transmitters, and a mobile communication device. When the fire detector detects the presence of a fire, the mobile communication device on the same floor as the fire calculates the coordinates of the mobile communication device to confirm the position on the plan, and displays the plan and an optimal evacuation route. The mobile communication device on a different floor as the fire area displays the plan of the floor and a plurality of evacuation routes.
