Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method for creating an electronic log for documenting entries into electronic gaming machines on a network. The network is monitored by a network computing device. People who enter the machines carry mobile computing devices that communicate over a normally operating wireless network. Cooperating among the network computing device and the wireless network results in creating an entry that includes the identify of a person entering one of the gaming machines, the identity of the gaming machine entered, and the reason for entry. The entry is stored in an electronic log.

Abstract: The lighting system 1 includes a light emitting unit 4 including light emitting diodes, and a securing member 5 for securing the light emitting unit 4 to a head of a healthcare worker. The radiation of light from the light emitting unit 4 eliminates the need for a shadowless lamp. When the light emitting unit 4 is fixed to the head, the light emitting unit 4 moves with the movement of the healthcare worker, and furthermore, when the healthcare worker moves his or her head, the direction of light radiation can be changed as desired. The use of an auxiliary lighting unit 6 and a camera 22 can provide safe surgery.

Abstract: A flexible spring member includes a flexible wall that is at least partially formed from an elastomeric material. The flexible wall can have a longitudinal axis and extend peripherally about the axis and longitudinally between first and second ends. The flexible wall can also include an outside surface and an inside surface that can at least partially define a spring chamber. A radial-biasing band can be disposed along the outside surface of the flexible wall in longitudinally-spaced relation to the first and second ends. The radial-biasing band can be at least partially formed from an elastomeric material and can be operative to elastically bias at least a portion of the flexible wall in one of a radially-inward direction and a radially-outward direction in an inflated condition of the gas spring assembly. A gas spring assembly and a method of manufacture including such a flexible spring member are also included.

Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for determining the identity of a user associated with a wireless device located near a geographic location at a specific time. In response to the occurrence of an event at a geographic location, a request can be issued by a wireless provider to users of wireless devices to provide the geographic locations of their respective devices and their identities to one or more entities. Upon receiving an affirmative response to the request, the wireless provider communicates information to the entities allowing the entities to contact the users to solicit information regarding the occurrence of the event. A wireless provider may send a request for authorization to users of wireless devices to provide geographic locations when the wireless device enters a predefined geographic area.

Abstract: A Long Term Evolution (LTE) network wirelessly exchanges data with User Equipment (UE) over multiple data bearers having a combination of Quality-of-Service Class Indicators (QCIs). The LTE network wirelessly receives radio measurement data from the UE for a voice communication network and for a data communication network. The LTE network determines at network-selection parameters based on the combination of the QCIs for the UE. The LTE network processes the radio measurement data based on the network-selection parameters to select the data communication network for the UE instead of the voice communication network.

Abstract: Proximity switches include a hermetically sealed unit that can be used in harsh environments and under significant pressures, such as underwater and in nuclear power facilities, without having any parts that would require replacement or periodic maintenance. The proximity switches are preferably switches actuated by physical movement of a contact in response to changing magnetic forces. The switches are preferably disposed in a body tube optionally including a hermetic seal assembly to seal an open end of the body tube and/or a ferrule that prevents electrical wires attached to the switch inside the body tube from being pulled away from the switch. Further, the switches preferably maintain a contact pressure between electrical contacts sufficient to withstand acceleration seismic testing of 10 g with no contact discontinuity.
