Abstract: A mobile communication device. The device comprises a cellular radio transceiver, a processor, a memory, and an application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the application receives an input that initiates access to a premium communication service via an untrusted network, determines whether an authentication payload is stored in the memory. When the application determines it is not stored in the memory, it transmits via the cellular radio transceiver to a media gateway a request to execute a service provided by an authorization server, receives an authentication payload from the media gateway via the cellular ratio transceiver, stores the authentication payload in the memory, and accesses the premium communication service initiated by the input based on the authentication payload stored in the memory.

Abstract: A method, wireless system, and medium are provided for estimating capacity for a new communication session initiated by a wireless device. The wireless system includes a base station and wireless devices that wirelessly connect to the base station. The base station executes a wireless scheduler that coordinates wireless transmission over wireless networks. The base station also executes a bandwidth estimation component to estimate available bandwidth for a new communication session. The estimated available bandwidth is used in a quick configuration message communicated from the base station to a wireless device to notify the wireless device of the capacity available at the base station and of a transmission rate for the wireless device.
Abstract: A method of configuring a network managed device in a network is described herein. A fallback configuration is determined. The fallback configuration is identified as a configuration that enables the network managed device to be manageable. A working configuration is determined. The working configuration is described by a working set of configuration data that has been updated based on a management command. A commit command is received. The working configuration is saved as a running configuration and verification of the running configuration is initiated. It is determined whether the verification of the running configuration is successful. Where it is not successful, the running configuration is saved as a failed configuration and the running configuration is replaced with the fallback configuration.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method of producing a description of the flight intent of an aircraft expressed using a formal language. The description may be used to generate a predicted aircraft trajectory, for example by air traffic management. Rules are used in association with information provided to express the flight intent of the aircraft in a formal language. The flight intent describes a flight in terms of flight segments, and provides information of the path to be flown and how it is to be flown. The flight intent does not necessarily define unambiguously the aerodynamic configuration of the aircraft and the motion of the aircraft during the flight. The flight intent is used alongside other information to generate the aircraft intent that does describe unambiguously the aircraft's trajectory.

Abstract: A static synchronous compensator that generates a second axis voltage command from the difference between the DC voltage converted by a single-phase voltage AC-DC conversion circuit and a set DC voltage command. When the voltage (the voltage of an AC terminal) of the single-phase AC power system increases, since the difference between the voltage of the AC terminal and an internal electromotive force increases, the static synchronous compensator carries out a PWM control to decreases the voltage of the AC terminal side of the single-phase voltage AC-DC conversion circuit. Since the voltage of the single-phase voltage AC-DC conversion circuit becomes lower than the voltage of the single-phase AC power system, an ineffective current flows from single-phase AC power system in the static synchronous compensator so that the voltage of the single-phase AC power system can be decreased.
Abstract: An information processing system includes multiple information processors. Each of the information processors includes a control part configured to periodically store a duplicate copy of at least part of predetermined information stored inside the information processor in a first storage part. The control part is configured to cause the first storage part to be operable from the information processor prior to storing the duplicate copy in the first storage part, store the duplicate copy after causing the first storage part to be operable, and cause the first storage part to be inoperable from the information processor after completion of storing the duplicate copy.
Abstract: A replaceable valve member for a sippy cup assembly is disclosed. The valve member is a flexible, resilient member for releasable mounting in the lid of the sippy cup. The valve member includes another normally closed, but openable slit located at a vent in the sippy cup's lid when the valve member is in the operative position. The two slits open when suction is applied to the spout to enable liquid to be withdrawn through the spout. A recess is provided in a portion of the periphery of the valve member to preclude the trapping of residual liquid in the sippy cup. The valve member also includes an opening for releasably mounting it on a handle of the sippy cup in a storage position.
