Abstract: An aerosol spray dispenser is disclosed that includes an outer housing that is circular, oval, or non-oval and in which an active composition to be dispensed is provided and a closure sleeve housing within the outer housing. An inner receptacle is provided within the closure sleeve housing and within the volume of the outer housing and contains a propellant to be dispensed. The inner housing may be concentrically located within the outer housing. An actuator assembly houses a nozzle that has a venturi constriction. A tube extends within the outer housing to provide the passage of active composition from within the outer housing by the venturi effect. A conduit for the passage of a propellant from the inner receptacle to the nozzle is provided. The propellant and the active composition are mixed and dispensed as a spray at a nozzle by action of the venturi effect.

Abstract: Programming the creation of a software system is facilitated by automating the generation of some of the program code that is necessary for the software system. The generation of program code may be automated based on a software design specification that can be created by developers. The software design specification may be scanned and code may be generated for implementing the software system based on information obtained from scanning the software design specification.
Abstract: A method for dynamic path failover in a network with two or more redundant and interconnected bridges, is described. A first bridge operates as a root bridge and each node includes two ports where each port is coupled to a respective one of the bridges. The method includes defining a bridge identifier at a node which presents the node as a capable bridge to the two or more fully compliant, RSTP enabled MAC bridges, forwarding a BPDU message from the node that defines the node as an inferior alternate path to the root bridge, facilitating the dynamic sensing of the absence of communication between the root bridge and the node, receiving a topology change message at the node from the second redundant bridge, and sending an agreement message from the node to the second redundant bridge such that the node automatically begins receiving messages from the second redundant bridge.
Abstract: An ink jet device selectively ejects droplets of non-marking liquid ink into cells of a printing member in a desired latent negative image pattern. Certain cells of the printing member are filled with pigmented ink to create a desired image. An electrical bias is applied for fractionating pigment in the pigmented ink from liquid and transferring an image-wise pigmented ink pattern from the printing member to a receiving member, leaving behind a substantial portion of liquid. The receiver can be an intermediate member whereby the image-wise ink pattern is transferred from the intermediate member to a final receiver, while such receiver is in operative association with said intermediate member.

Abstract: A gasket (122) includes a first plurality of cylinder openings (402) arranged to correspond, one each, to a corresponding first plurality of cylinder bores (106) formed in a crankcase (102) of an internal combustion engine (100). A second plurality of coolant openings (404) and a third plurality of oil openings (406) are formed in a substrate sheet of material that makes up the gasket (122). A fourth plurality of pushrod openings (408) is formed in the substrate material of the gasket (122). Each of the fourth plurality of pushrod openings (408) includes a pass through portion (302) that has a semicircular shape with an internal diameter, D, and an alignment portion (304) that has a semicircular shape with an internal diameter, d. The diameter d is smaller than the diameter D. The pass-through portion (304) is located adjacent to the alignment portion (302).

Abstract: To provide a heterologous protein expression system which enables the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe as a host to produce of a heterologous protein which is almost impossible to express, or if possible, produced at low levels, under control of conventional promoters. The present invention provides an expression for use in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, a transformant carrying the expression vector, a method for producing a heterologous protein using the transformant, in particular a method for producing a heterologous protein in which a heat shock protein gene promoter in Schizosaccharomyces pombe is used to regulate gene expression by application of a specific form of stress, whereby the timing of the production of the desired heterologous protein can be controlled.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a media program comprising audiovisual data. The method comprises the steps of transmitting the audiovisual data from a ground center to a satellite; transponding the audiovisual data to a ground-based hub; and transmitting the audiovisual data from the ground-based hub to a display entity if the satellite is obscured from the display entity. The apparatus comprises a ground transmitter transmitting the audiovisual data from a ground center to a satellite; satellite for transponding the audiovisual data; and a ground-based hub, having a receiver for receiving the transponded audiovisual data and a hub transmitter for transmitting the audiovisual data from the ground-based hub to a display entity if the satellite is obscured from the display entity.

Abstract: A process and braze paste suitable for filling and closing voids in relatively thin wall sections of high temperature components, such as an impingement plate of a combustor of a gas turbine engine. The process entails applying at least a first braze paste to the crack to form a braze paste patch comprising powders of first and second alloys and an organic binder. The first alloy has a higher melting temperature than the second alloy, and the powders of the first and second alloys are present in the braze paste patch at a weight ratio of about 30:70 to about 70:30 weight percent. The braze paste patch is then heated to burn off the binder and melt at least the powder of the second alloy to form a brazement within the crack that contains particles of the first alloy dispersed in a matrix formed by the second alloy.
Abstract: A method for generating an image of an object is provided. The method comprises acquiring projection data at one or more projection views along a circular scan trajectory and generating a corrected projection dataset based upon a weighted derivative applied to a subset of the projection data. The method further comprises backprojecting the corrected projection dataset along one or more projection rays associated with one or more of the projection views, to generate a reconstructed image of the object.
Abstract: A method of generating an image comprising a position identifying pattern 6 and content 7 comprises the steps of: defining criteria relating to a region where the content and the pattern are superimposed, the criteria determining whether the pattern 6 will be distinguishable over the content 7 when applied to a product; identifying such a region 7 in the image; and selecting a characteristic of the pattern or the content in the region on the basis of the criteria, such that the image in the region meets the criteria.
