Abstract: The present invention pertains to a donor element comprising a support layer, a transfer layer supported by the support layer, and a second layer disposed between the support layer and the transfer layer, wherein the second layer contains a binder and optionally an uncured crosslinking agent, but substantially no pigment. The binder in the second layer has a molecular weight Mn that causes the second layer to be substantially transferred with the transfer layer when the donor element is exposed to light.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the removal of, H2S and mercaptans from a gas stream comprising these compounds, which process comprises the steps of: (a) removing H2S from the gas stream by contacting the gas stream in a H2S-removal zone with a first aqueous alkaline washing liquid to obtain a H2S-depleted gas stream and a sulphide-comprising aqueous stream; (b) removing mercaptans from the H2S-depleted gas stream obtained in step (a) by contacting the H2S-depleted gas stream in a mercaptan-removal zone with a second aqueous alkaline washing liquid to obtain a mercaptan-depleted gas stream and an thiolate—comprising aqueous stream; (c) contacting the combined aqueous streams comprising sulphide and thiolates obtained in step (a) and step (b) with sulphide-oxidizing bacteria in the presence of oxygen in an oxidation reactor to obtain a sulphur slurry and a regenerated aqueous alkaline washing liquid; (d) separating at least part of the sulphur slurry obtained in step (c) from the regenerated aqueous al

The ion exchange resin is a macroporous resin having sulfur functional groups exchanged with silver, a dry weight capacity of at least 5.0 eq/kg, a mean pore diameter (D50) of about 400-800 ?, a pore volume of about 0.4-0.6 ml/g, and a surface area of about 20-40 m2/g.
Abstract: Engineered strains of the oleaginous yeast Yarrowia lipolytica capable of producing greater than 10% arachidonic acid (ARA, an ?-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid) in the total oil fraction are described. These strains comprise various chimeric genes expressing heterologous desaturases, elongases and acyltransferases, and optionally comprise various native desaturase and acyltransferase knockouts to enable synthesis and high accumulation of ARA. Production host cells are claimed, as are methods for producing ARA within said host cells.

Abstract: An apparatus and manufacturing method thereof, wherein an integrated circuit is located in a first region of a substrate having first and second opposing major surfaces, and wherein an alignment mark is located in a second region of the substrate and extends through the substrate between the first and second surfaces. The alignment mark may protrude from the first and/or second surfaces, and/or may comprise a plurality of substantially similar alignment marks. The second region may interpose the first region and a perimeter of the substrate. The second region may comprise a scribe region.
Abstract: An attachment configured to be attached to a power machine is disclosed. The attachment includes a blade having opposing first and second major surfaces and first and second edges. The attachment has first and second end plates each having opposing inner and outer surfaces. The end plates are fixedly attached to the first and second edges of the blade. The inner surfaces of the first and second end plates are positioned adjacent to and extend from the first major surface of the blade. The attachment further includes a support structure coupled to the blade. The support structure includes a first support member fixedly attached to and extending from both the second major surface of the blade and the outer surface of the first end plate.
Abstract: A graphics adapter comprises a frame buffer operable to store graphics image data. The graphics adapter also comprises a network interface operable to receive at least a portion of the graphics image data, the network interface further operable to format the received graphics image data into a plurality of packets for transmission over a communication network.

Abstract: A technique for defining a system with enhanced trust is disclosed, in which an immediate contact is made with the user on the enhanced trust system when a compromise is first detected. The service contacts the compromised user and asks for confirmation of the results. As a result, the true user on the enhanced trust machine is able to preclude a login or preclude a password change. In a first embodiment of the invention, an enhanced trust machine is a machine where the user is currently logged in at the time that the less trusted machine attempts a login. A second embodiment of the invention comprehends an enhanced trust machine where the user has logged in repeatedly over a course of numerous weeks, as compared with a lesser trusted machine that the user has never logged into before and which is now asking for a change of the password.

Abstract: A pillow system comprises a curved main pillow having a pillow body having a midsection and a pair of ends. The pillow body is curved and is both flexible and firm to permit it to wrap around a user. A curved side pillow is operably attached to one of the ends of the main pillow such that the side pillow is positionable around the user's side and back when the main pillow is placed adjacent to the user's stomach. The side pillow has an inner portion near the main pillow and an outer portion away from the main pillow. The side pillow tapers downward in height from the inner portion to the outer portion.

Abstract: A method and system for processing concurrent events in a provisional network that comprises a plurality of dynamically allocatable nodes. Specifically, the method includes receiving notification of an event associated with a node in the provisional network. The event requires processing a new lifecycle operation to update a status of the node in the provisional network. Then, it is determined whether the node is locked for processing an active lifecycle operation that is associated with a concurrent event for the node. Processing of the new lifecycle operation is suspended until the active lifecycle operation has terminated, if the node is locked. The lock is maintained on the node after the active lifecycle operation has terminated. Thereafter, the new lifecycle operation is processed when the active lifecycle operation has terminated.

Abstract: A system that enables communication and collaboration among individuals using rich media environments. A system according to the present techniques includes a set of rich media environments each having a corresponding arrangement of sensing and rendering components for sensing of and rendering to a corresponding set of individuals. A system according to the present techniques includes an interest thread detector that uses the sensing and rendering components to detect formation of multiple communication interactions among the individuals and that creates an interest thread for each detected communication interaction and further includes a communication provider that for each interest thread captures a set of media data from a corresponding subset of the sensing components and that combines the captured media data in response to the activities of the corresponding individuals and that communicates the combined media data to a corresponding subset of the rendering components.

Abstract: A computer-implemented arrangement facilitates purchases by multiple cardmembers using respective transaction instruments, each transaction instrument being associated with a single tax-advantaged account. A merchant's requested payment from a point of sale device for a purchase by a cardmember against the tax-advantaged account is received by a host computer system, which determines whether the requested charge is associated with a tax-advantaged qualified expense. The tax-advantaged account is credited with points associated with the value of the charge only if the charge is determined to be for a covered tax-advantaged expense. This process occurs for all other cardmembers making transactions associated with the same tax-advantaged account.
